i just watched a while ago...i was so touched and moved by the film..its very inspiring..i laugh a lot. i smiled a lot and i cried a lot..but most of all it pierced my heart my being...i hope others can have the chance to watch this one of a kind film..many thanks to japan foundation for staging this especially the eiga sai 2009.. hope to see more...thanks for the people behind the scene and the actors and actresses they were really great! You Rock!
All 3 films were wonderful! Sure, they're soaked in nostalgia, but that's OK, it was a good time for a country that worked so hard! I don't know the extent of the manga (how far it reaches, historically) but it's my wish that this cast returns just once more, perhaps for "Expo '70" in Osaka?!! Meanwhile, I just love when I find any one of these actors in a newer drama or comedy, like the mom, Hiroko Yakushimaru, who then played an endearing diva actress in the great morning drama "Amachan"!
I rented this movie randomly by the cover in Tsutaya, instantaneously connect me back to my childhood about TV and freezer!! I wonder anyone know the credit song name is?
@TheStrangeBen hey you should also watch the original film. the one shown in the eiga sai this year was part 2. i saw this movie last year, first time in eiga sai, it was really beautiful. of course, the part 2 is equally great. :))
if you like vampire flicks from japan you should check out moon child! it has gackt in it /and/ hyde. yaay! but yeah this movie is incredible and so is moon child
@@Mrkhanjar thanks ! i watched the movie long years ago & the second part too .. oh .. how many things have changed in my life .. the internet .. the whole world since i've posted that comment 13 years ago ! ah btw there was no Egybest that time :D
I still love this film so much.

Dear uploader:
it's: a contraction meaning "it is"
its: possessive (its musical score, its theme song).
Thank you.
I wonder why does the actor Hidetaka Yoshioka always picked to act in films that involves solitude or loneliness. Perhaps of his demeanour?
