Good video. On my Honda the switch stuck and what it did was break a simple solder joint on the power going to the motor. Just a simple re solder and worked fine after that. This was also a newer widow motor only replaced within 6 months of the repair. The switch finally shorted and stayed on was the entire problem. The best and much cheaper fix is to just replace the junk switch with a three way toggle momentary switch. That way when it springs back to center, you know that no power is still going to the motor.
Does a new window motor/regulator in one have to be in the car to work? I plugged in my new one without putting it in and nothing. I already put in a new window switch too. (For driver’s front window on a 08 Xterra).
Do you happen to see any issue with window can go down, but not going up? I understand the polarity will be reserved when going to opposite directions ( up vs down). but I can't understand how a window can go down (power and switch are good) , but not going up
My accord used to make clicking sounds from the driver's door every now and then... Now it doesn't make noise but the driver's window doesn't work anymore 🥺
I have power on the passenger side when i press the switch button but the window doesn't work, And the driver side have No Power and No working switch. I cant find the problem , All the fuses are OK. What could be the problem?
I’m having the same issue, took it the window shop thinking it’s the motor and he told me it was the switch..my question is what switch should I replace the passenger or the master
Hi,before i start ripping panel off..let me first ask you this ... i have a 2001 silverado and the driver window still works fine, but when i try to put passenger window down it sounds like a relay clicks inside the passenger door... i am original owner and have never messed with windows.... the passenger window has been used hardly at all,so the track and motor should be in way better shape than the drivers side... i drove this truck just me myself so i know... what could it be ? bad connection? is switch bad on that door? again it sounds like its trying to engage everytime i hit the button on my side or the button on that passenger door... just tell me what you think it is and i will start from there....thanks
It's just used so he can attach the clip of the circuit tester to the connector. Alligator clip won't attach to it otherwise. It doesn't matter if it's attached to the ground or the power. It's just testing for a completed circuit.
Its just simple its just the power window relay. 2 possible location of the relay s located the fuse box at the engine bay or the fusebox underneat your dash board .
But what two points are you trying to connect? Is it two grounds, two powers, two other sockets, the same socket?? We didn't see, and I didn't hear you say. TY
A lot of these newer power windows have their own fuse somewhere in the line usually behind the dash. Don’t just check the window fuse and think that’s the only fuse to check. Edited: Refer to the vehicles electrical wiring diagram, usually found towards the back of the maintenance / overhaul / Haynes / Chiltons / Mitchell’s manual
I have a 1988 Chevrolet Silverado c1500 2wd it has electric windows the driver side window works good . But the passenger side window want go down . This happened when I was replacing the door pins and bushing on the driver side . But when I was doing that the got away from me and fell to the ground . So any idea will help me . I usually don't get no response when I ask on TH-cam . But I thought I would try again .

Not clear where to put the paperclip and what's the purpose of it.
where do you get that cool interactive wiring diagram?
www.alldata.com/diy-us/en
I don’t understand where the paper clip goes after you put them in the motor switch????
Isn’t the power staying on because it has the automatic feature for the drivers window?

Hey the cable supplies currently to the motor is not good . What am I supposed to do ?

Sounds like a motor issue. The window takes a lot of force to go up, but going down it doesn’t need much force at all
Did u ever figure out what it is?
Can i use a DVOM instead? Do you have a separate video on it
My passenger side on my Honda element does not work but the driver side does i order a sub switch for the passenger side will that work
My accord used to make clicking sounds from the driver's door every now and then... Now it doesn't make noise but the driver's window doesn't work anymore 🥺
What i do when my rear right Passenger switch has no power and his fuse is blowing? 2002 Honda crv
Thanks for your help
doesnt a bad motor make fuse blow
If the fuse keeps blowing it’s probably a short

Did you get it fixed?
What is the paperclip doing ... to ground?.. not clear

I have a question what if when I connect my test light it turns on and when I click the switch it turns off my test light ???
You need to look at the diagram that could be normal as it reversed polarity to do the opposite from opening to closing etc
Its just simple its just the power window relay. 2 possible location of the relay s located the fuse box at the engine bay or the fusebox underneat your dash board .
Why do two motors fail?
You never said which two pins to install your paper clip you say I already have my paper clip installed
Every car is a deferent pin so you will have to look at a diagram for your specific car
@@vehix411 what is the paperclips purpose ?

This video needs improvement.
Why do you have a paper clip
looks simple if you are an octopus. Need more hands or an extra video person.
The camera move I didnt it see
Bad explanation what’s the paper clip for
Watch and see what’s it for
