Borderland - Land between life and death. They should've died from the meteorite, but they were given a chance to live if they completed all 52 card games. That's why they came back, and the ones who died in the meteorite were the ones who died in the Borderlands because they failed the opportunity. For the joker card It is believed they will face the hardest challenge yet , life itself in the “real” world For me that was the perfect ending ❤️
Joker in manga was an entity like Death or Charon (ferryman to the souls). But i really like the interpretation that Joker card is the final game of second chance at life and being the hardest. It goes well with Mira's speech about living your life to the fullest.
Somehow, everybody is missing what's coming when the queen gives the rules. Players win by simply playing three complete rounds. The queen wins if you give up. This automatically lets you know that the queen is going to play some sort of mind games to try to convince you to give up so that she can win. There's another way players can lose. Since weapons are allowed if you kill the queen, players won't have anyone to play against. They will be stuck in limbo forever. The same way in the prison game if everybody always told the truth the game would never end. It would be life in prison as Chishiya said in that game.
Your of course saying This automaticalöy lets you know the queen is going to play some sort of mindgame after you saw the Queen play the mindgame. I liked your analysis except for that part.
@@classylady107 People can survive but not all of them make it cuz you can't never find out the Jack at the beginning if keep telling the truth & no one make a move first. Death is essential for this game.
Yeah, kinda seems like the ultimate hearts game was to convince the queen u are worthy to move on since she can stall and mess with u as long as she wants.. I actually really liked this
I interpreted the joker as they are now playing the hardest game of all. The game of life. The joker represents a wild card and can become any card in the deck. Insinuating that through out your travels in life you could experience any of the suit cards. Or I could be wrong and its just a spoiler for season 3. But I would be fine with the series if it ended right here as well.
What if all the players that died in border land was given a chance to live again we all jnow that arisu and his friends are alive and joker is a wild card so all the players that died was given chance and when the time goes back they will survive
@@hiso1056 Probably because he didn't really add anything they didn't have in the episode, and I could imagine the makers didn't want to add a spin on religion into the story (they allready cut the Jack of Diamonds, which was a game of Mahjong, probably to keep the series international understandable).
The whole game of life meaning is the "correct" interpretation. That said the ending does Netflix the option to produce a 3rd season if they want to stray from the source material
Yeah, it's definitely underrated. But they're both great in their own ways. Squid Game is more grounded in reality and presented as an allegory to the harsh human conditions of our current society. While this show leans more fantastical and explores the meaning/purpose of life, especially in examination of who you are and your relationships.
I love how in the games they slowly got the same injuries their bodies sustained. Even Usagi’s arm had a bandage. They all must have sustained cuts and internal injuries that the games reflected. Kinda like dreams incorporate real things happening around you.
It’s explained in the spin off that injuries sustained in the borderland must match or be possible to the real world injuries you sustained before entering the borderlands if they don’t match you stay in a coma because your mind can’t comprehend the difference which is what possibly happed to Akuni in the end.
52:10 The joker is the game master of borderlands, it represents the ferry man of the dead and it's the one taking everyone who chose not to stay in the borderlands back to the real world.
Niragi imo is a bit misunderstood, i think in manga its adressed more that niragi is the one with the idea to split the points up the way they did in the club game :-)
@@Evanz111 Yea, but he is still misunderstood, like being bullied in the real world, trying to extort power in borderland, but i think Arisu is one who influenced so many peoples way of thinking and reacting, so he in the end got a softer side imo.
It's fitting that Queen of Hearts game was won through true love. The bond Arisu and Usagi had was enough to change Mira's heart, allowing her to accept defeat gracefully in the appreciation that trust is the only thing that can undo a betrayal game. And to top it off, the moral of her entire game is literally "it doesn't matter if you win or lose, you just have to play."
Another way of looking at it: Usagi helped Arisu snap out of Mira’s mind-game, and when he said “game on”, Mira understood that she already lost because he can no longer be tricked. She was moved enough to finish the game to spare Usagi rather than delaying her defeat.
At the beach, Aguni had two main guys. Niragi, who was bullied in his childhood until he became a bully himself, and the tattoed guy with the sword who never spoke. Kuina killed the tattoed guy when she fought him in the bar. Chishiya tried to burn Niragi in season 1, but he survived. Then Aguni in the end took Niragi with him into the fire. Both survived. Niragi lost an eye, because he did so in the real world disaster. Also I read somewhere that Niragi in the manga was a genius and direct rival to Chishiya. In fact Chishiya tried to burn him because he said Niragi reminded him of himself too much (both being smart). In the manga, Niragi came up with the plan to attack the base of the naked guy and his team, not Arisu.
As the queen said: "Life is a game we play together" I think that is what the Joker at the end represents; they still have a game to play: life itself.
Best ending ever. So deep. The hardest game is real life! The only thing I don't understand is why some people were picked to be dealers and other were normal players.
I think the dealers or game masters might be the ones that decided to stay, and bc they props got told that everybody is already basically dead they didn't mind killing them.

I kinda like this 'ending.' You could look at it as the Joker being life itself, despite what they all went through and the fact they chose to live, they still need to find their way through life, a fitting game for the wild card. Or, it could also be an open ending for a third season, which would go beyond even the source material. I'd be slightly afraid of this, it usually doesn't turn out well but you never know. I'm satisfied with this ending.

I think they were all fighting to survive from the meteorit in the land between life and death, those who lost the games meant they lost the battle of surviving from the meteorit and the hole games were just in Arisu's perception because the games were his world. In terms of recommendations of other shows. There is one show on Netflix which is another Korean drama called "All Of Us Are Dead" and while it's not completely the same as something like Alice In Borderland or Squid Game. I would say that it's just as great, and hits a lot of the same emotional highs and lows as something like AIB did. Just thought I'd throw my two pennies in. I've really enjoyed these reactions!
The Joker in the manga was the entity that carried souls back and forth between the Borderlands and real life. So in the end of the show, the Joker was just symbolizing the fact that the Borderlands still exists, waiting for new people, new immigrants to play the games. Because there are always going to be accidents, diseases, etc. So those who experience near-death will travel to Borderland to see if they'll survive in the real world or not. This is the end of the show, no more seasons. This was the end of the manga. Don't read too much into the Joker card, as I have explained the meaning of it above.
I Love it! The interpretation is so good. I didn't know what to expect in the last episode. My mind suffered because of the Queen of Hearts but I couldn't wish any other ending. I haven't read the manga but I bet the show did a fantastic job.
The original manga ends here so no 3rd season but.....the author did a second part Alice in Borderland: Retry. I think that the finale was perfect so Netflix just don´t do something stupid....
Hi Suzy. I hope both of you are living well, and cheers to your dad as well. Would love to see you again for the next season. You’re already connected to the characters and the thought is definitely depth, one of my favorite AIB reactor.
A minute in real life is already several days in purgatory. Makes you feel like you are being tortured for an eternity if you go to like hell or something.
the joker is supposed to be the *game master* or the one that was suppose to take them over the river Styx, but decided its too much wasted human life and gave em a chance to return in the source material..not another challenge
It is quite confusing at the end when the producers decided to show The Joker on the table. From what I heard, there will be a return of the show, but I have no clue in what way as the manga ends in Volume 9 which was just released in March. I believe this is the end of the original series and the return will be a spin off of some sort that will explore The Joker more. In the manga, The Joker appears before Arisu and Usagi before they are transported back to the real world. Arisu has a conversation with The Joker and asks him what his purpose is to which The Joker answers with a question if he appears as a God or the Devil. Arisu concludes that The Joker is a intermediator who transports those on the brink of death back to the real world if they happen to survive and pass on those who pass away. There is not much else known about The Joker but he/she is the person behind the Borderlands world.
I'm kinda envious about you guys watching it and trying to guess what really happened. I read some parts of the manga including the ending so I guess, there was no surprise for me esp the fireworks plot twist. Thanks for the video , I enjoyed watching your reactions.
JOKER is a supervisor between dead and alive, just like Charon. Those games who made them to play is An Higher Consciousness. Maybe GOD or maybe god of DEATH.This show named "今際の国のアリス(ARISU=アリス in the country=国 of 今際)" in JAPAN. "今際" means "between live and dead".Borderland is ok, but just doesn't close enough. So, THE ANSWER everyone is searching for is always there, in the show title.💕
yes,you are right. The title of botherland in Japanese is the edge of survival and dead. That means the player are playing games when they hv that accident
They don't literally know each other. The games just represents how their will to survive. Anything that happen in borderland is something unique that happen to each of them.
It was a real place even in the manga the joker was a real entity that created the world and games to give survivors a second chance at life to survive from the meteor by completing all the games. anyone who says it's not a real place don't know what they are talking about

Arisu and usagi never drank the tea. That shows how impactfull Mira power of mind control The only way to kill players in borderland is by system or when players losing the game. If they get shoot/beaten by the owner of face cards/other player, As long as they have a will to survive and alive, they’ll stay alive. Thats why arisu and his friends alive in the end. Cuz they all have that will The origin of the story is based from japan’s legends. The River berween life and after life. The joker at the end were potrayed for the keeper of that river. He will test anybody that in stage between death/life like in coma etc. If the person have the will to alive they’ll send back to the world. If not they’ll send to afterlife
Suzy you should def watch Violet Evergarden, watch it with ur mans because some episodes are a tear jerker, they have movies as well, the last movie is a total eye balling masterpiece
The whole story is only 1 minute after the meteor hit Shibuya area when their hearts stop and that's the border between life and death. If AIB continue to season 3 I think this hospital is the game in the game and they need to defeat 'Joker' to take them back to real real world. 😅
So Steejo would have shotgunned the Queen of Hearts and Suzy would have drank the tea.. Y'all would have made it so far only to lose at the very end lmao.

do you happen to be a psychopath?
@@jachcoff I just want to protect myself from spoilers by knowing them already, what’s wrong with that? Totally logical behaviour ;)
@@Evanz111 your afraid of spoilers so you spoil it yourself...??? whatever floats your boat =D. Just don't be afraid of dying.
The queen of hearts is really the queen of 'hearts game'.
I think Suzy will like First Love on Netflix. It's also a japanese series.
All of Us are Dead is an adaptation of "Highschool of the Dead" ankme
how did they at least not just search who niragi is while watching season two? ☠️
Didn't want spoilers.
Joker= real life. Real life is the most difficult thing they're goin to dealt with from now on
I Love it! The interpretation is so good. I didn't know what to expect in the last episode. My mind suffered because of the Queen of Hearts but I couldn't wish any other ending. I haven't read the manga but I bet the show did a fantastic job.
very good serie with very good ending..and the mind fuck with the queen of hearts (aliens,VR ,psychiatrist,etc..) just perfect
Meteor... memory loss... then ask "have we met?"... i was waiting them to say "Your name?" XD
lol
The original manga ends here so no 3rd season but.....the author did a second part Alice in Borderland: Retry. I think that the finale was perfect so Netflix just don´t do something stupid....
and now season 3 has been announced 🎉
I CAN'T WAIT!!
Hi Suzy. I hope both of you are living well, and cheers to your dad as well. Would love to see you again for the next season. You’re already connected to the characters and the thought is definitely depth, one of my favorite AIB reactor.
Its the perfect ending imo... anything else would have been lame. The whole time it was a opportunity to survive a near death experience.
The Joker is just a grim Reaper of The borderlands which is like The Limbo of Christianity.
A minute in real life is already several days in purgatory. Makes you feel like you are being tortured for an eternity if you go to like hell or something.
my mouth dropped open when I realized that usagi was already there from cap 1
the joker is supposed to be the *game master* or the one that was suppose to take them over the river Styx, but decided its too much wasted human life and gave em a chance to return in the source material..not another challenge
In the manga the joker card means “the end of the games” its not a secret teaser for s3
arisu is hypnotized during the whole “he’s hospitalized he’s in therapy” scene btw
The manga finished so no season 3. The joker means the hardest challenge which is life itself
the actor of mira kano is so pretty
No bro, borderlands is a real place that they all went through
@@Moon-wy2co no they did not.
It was a real place even in the manga the joker was a real entity that created the world and games to give survivors a second chance at life to survive from the meteor by completing all the games. anyone who says it's not a real place don't know what they are talking about
@@angryangro2139 yes they all went to a limbo-like place led by the joker, it's better explained in the manga
@@angryangro2139 yes they did it was litterally laid out in the manga and they all did really play the games and forget
You guys should check out ctrl z. Its really good and the second season is on the level of this. Its on netflix and will leave u on the edge of your seat to figure out whats going on or who did it
There is no season 3. The game of the Joker is 'Life'. Mira herself said that life is a game that we play together and that we should try to enjoy.
Loved your reactions! Let's hope Netflix won't cancel this top-tier series! 💖
It's the real ending like it is in the manga, but they have set up the joker card there in case they want to make a season 3
Very clever from Netflix I must say
But I think it should just end here
Great show
This show was so great man
Mid at best.
Kidding I loved the heck out of it
Arisu and usagi never drank the tea. That shows how impactfull Mira power of mind control
The only way to kill players in borderland is by system or when players losing the game. If they get shoot/beaten by the owner of face cards/other player, As long as they have a will to survive and alive, they’ll stay alive. Thats why arisu and his friends alive in the end. Cuz they all have that will
The origin of the story is based from japan’s legends. The River berween life and after life. The joker at the end were potrayed for the keeper of that river. He will test anybody that in stage between death/life like in coma etc. If the person have the will to alive they’ll send back to the world. If not they’ll send to afterlife
In the manga tho they did drink the tea. That’s why they hallucinated the psychiatric meeting. Mira spiked it with something
Train to buzan debe ser su próximo reacción...es excelente
Apparently, there is a sequel to this where Arisu was summoned back to the borderlands due to an abnormality.
Suzy you should def watch Violet Evergarden, watch it with ur mans because some episodes are a tear jerker, they have movies as well, the last movie is a total eye balling masterpiece
Try the Japanese movie - Kaiji or the Japanese drama - Liar Game
Those 52 cards game originated from egypt.
And its spread to europe.
And start to become fame card game
International
When It going to be on your website?
I've been wondering the same thing
This was the proper hearth game
The whole story is only 1 minute after the meteor hit Shibuya area when their hearts stop and that's the border between life and death.
If AIB continue to season 3 I think this hospital is the game in the game and they need to defeat 'Joker' to take them back to real real world. 😅
Outro gang kudos to suzy's dad 🙂
No way you actually believed Mira´s first story lol
A lot of people did lol. It got me in the manga not gonna lie, it was more convincing
Does that mean Is there a season 3 with the final joker reveal ?
So Steejo would have shotgunned the Queen of Hearts and Suzy would have drank the tea..
Y'all would have made it so far only to lose at the very end lmao.
Why am I not surprised Suzy doesn't read lol
Rude! 😢
Try thai tv series "the girl from nowhere" and "the gifted". They are on netflix.
Strangers from Hell is a great show!
Check out "Sweet Home" - I think you will like it :)
Enjoyed your reactions! Thank you so much!
Next do all of us are dead
I really wanna recommend you react" Violet evergarden" 🥺there are ao much beautiful and touching stories about love and family, A good story is worth sharing.🥺💞
LA VERDAD SOBRE EL JOKER: ----SPOILER---
LA CARTA DEL JOKER SIGNIFICA UNA NUEVA CHANCE, PARA UN ARISU MAS ADULTO, SE VOLVERÁ A ENCONTRAR ENTRE LA VIDA Y LA MUERTE. TENIENDO UNA NUEVA CHANCE DE VOLVER A BORDERLAND. [MANGA[
Hi Suzy you and another TH-camr are my favorites
This show was a big W
Joker is an open end. I think the real life means Joker. The real life contains four suits of card, which full of backtray ,team work, workload, intelligence
Maybe the joke is on the joker
