Owner of an 04 XC70/ T5 / AWD..Truly, the most wonderful car to just get in and go with...Been said...owning a Volvo just makes you a better driver....no flash, no need to be overly concerned about safety, but accept accidents can happen..so you are glad you are in a Volvo....but never omit, given the need to move with some rapidity, there is no disappointment. This XC90 is now even better in 2022....Lange leve Volvo.....

It's breakable now. This isn't the 80s, 90s volvos anymore. Now those were tanks back then.

I m not a car fan really, did my driving license when 25 just cause people wanted me to,,
but there was a single car I always wanted, XC 70,,
so I got one, the nicest of them all, and still affordable second generation from 2007 with 170 000km
upon investing 3000 for repairs, after 10 000km intercooler broke down, another 1 000 bucks solved the problem
now 3 months later, the transmission needs to be replaced,, will cost me about 5000,,
I know I should leave the car, but there s just something,, I mean if you drive this car, you don t want any other
except now maybe, v90 cross country from 2017
I think you were just unlucky. Can happen with any car make. My 2006 AWD 2.5T XC90 hasn't had a repair in 4 years. My wife's new 2015.5 T5 AWD XC60 is now 2 years old, and has yet to have a problem.
As a Volvo tech, you've just gotten a lil unlucky my friend, XC70's have never really posed any problems, we have them in often but it's VERY rare to see them in for major work. They're lovely cars.

Gen 2k and facelifts were beautiful. V70 that I like, S80 that I like... I like 850 also... 240, 460, 740 940 ... you have made so much beautifull cars. They didn't attract much atention, yet, they were all beautiful, similar to each other, you could clearly see the Volvo line... now, it's only the front grill. Look up to those gen 2k designs, both interior and exterior, find the bit's of soul that you have lost. You are a conservative brand. Car for the driver. Not to a slickhead audi or bmw driver. Your opposition were Saab. Not VW pheaton. not skoda superb. The Sweeds, the Norse, you are a class of your own... remember that, and don't stray again, please...
