Well, it depends, to which segment of society they belong to. If they are poor, obviously, their deposible income will be less to save. But apart of savings... as an economy, it's also important in what you save. Like in South Asia, it is very prevalent to save in gold. This has been deeply ingrained for centuries. The issue is that gold is a non productive asset. The same, btw is also true for real estate.

1:36:37 thanks for answering my question ❤ However, the other half part of my question was that, is buying shares of a foreign company is the same as buying shares of domestic company?
With a stable government Pakistan has the most potential growth for stock market. It’s so undervalued and beaten down, the only way for it to go is up. India too has great potential but nothing close to Pakistan. Like your guest said , india has around 20 crore investers. Pakistan market is untapped. I don’t even think Pakistan has investing news channels yet.
If investing in mutual fund you must see the expense ratio of the fund. You need to make sure if that it’s expense ratio should be always less than 0.9 or 1.
1. Request strategies after a worst case scenario if market crashes total valuation drops drastically- what to do then? 2. How long is long term investment? 3. For senior citizens with no physical assets what proportion in fixed income and high risk equity plans ? 4. National saving schemes guving slightly better rates than mutual fixed income funds but NSC gets bad mouthed by Asset Management Companies , some independent comparison would be beneficial.
For individuals who do not want to actively manage their investments, equity mutual funds can be a good option. 1) The best approach is to keep investing consistently each month, regardless of market drawdowns. While one could choose to invest more after market crashes until recovery, this requires active management, which may not be suitable for most long-term investors. 2) Long-term investing generally refers to a period of 10 years or more. For example, if you have a newborn and start saving for their university expenses, or if you're in your 30s saving for retirement, equity mutual funds can be a viable option. 3) Senior citizens should prioritize fixed-income investments unless they have substantial savings. Consulting a financial advisor before making investment decisions is strongly recommended. 4) While I don’t have a comparison available at the moment, National Savings can be a good fixed-income option for those looking to invest in stable assets. (This is not financial advice. Each individual should consult a financial advisor for recommendations based on their personal needs and specific circumstances.)
