My Uncle owned one mid 70’s. Managed to blag a drive. Loved it. Had my own 1600 Mk 2 some years later. Great car
One off the best. Cars ever
calm down .
hi there, i remember these brand new when i was 17 in 1969. there was also a GT version, easy to maintain unlike to days cars, great memories of 1969,
1983,five of us piled into our pals gold 1600e on the way to Southend (Saarfend) on the beginning of one of THE most amazing weekends I've ever had.
Seeing this made the memories come flooding back.
What a very tidy & honest MKll Soo many memories from owning one of these!!🥹👌🏻👍🏻
A very nice mark 2 cortina remember these from my youth 😊❤
mk 1 to 5 had every one great memories
Solid tidy car, we had about 8 Cortina MK2 in dad's taxis, they were used, abused and sent away when the suspension tops came through and the front wings could really be patched up anymore.
The MK3 seemed huge in comparison later .
Dream car in the 70s..
Beauty! ❤
I remember those wings which rusted in 18 months and the McPherson struts which were close behind.
wish you could tell us a rough guide price of these old cars
My first real car at 21 in 1977, Rostyle wheels 👍
Lovely car but wrong veneer on dash and doors, tends to spoil such a nice car but it will still bring good money
Nice example. Not sure about the red badges.
My Uncle wanted to buy a new 1600E in 1969, but he baulked at the £1150 asking price. He ended up paying £960 for a standard Cortina.
£190 back in 1969 was the difference between being poor or flush back in them days .
You could buy a new detached house with a external brick built garage for £2500 or 200 less with no brick built garage in 69,
That’s 2 1600e’s then
