- Bloated after eating? 😫 Try these food swaps!
These food swaps are:
✨Better tolerated for those who have IBS and gut issues
✨Less likely to cause bloating
✨Easier on the digestive system
Let’s talk about FODMAPs!
FODMAPs are carbohydrates that aren’t properly absorbed in the gut, which can trigger symptoms such as bloating and gas.
A low-FODMAP diet can be helpful (short-term!!) for people with IBS, SIBO and gut issues. 🙌
Try swapping some high-FODMAP foods for low-FODMAP foods to help manage your bloating and gas 💕
🧅Onions ➡️ Green onions (the green part) or chives
🧄Garlic ➡️ Garlic-infused olive oil - this is a great way to get the garlicky flavor
🍎Apples ➡️ Oranges - a simple swap but still nutritious
🤍Cauliflower ➡️ Parsnip - a great alternative, try it roasted!
🍯Honey ➡️ Maple syrup - even though honey is amazing it is higher in fructose, so maple syrup is a nice alternative!
