Excellent execution of the Triple Lindy! Now that I have attained the right size to shop there, I'm on the lookout for finding where Thornton Melon's clothing stores are located. I'm pretty sure I collect with a combination of eyes and head for my primary collection with a few items that would be heart. Glad you turned on the camera and joined us.
Thanks John!! The thing about the categories of collector that Dave identified is that I feel like we're all some combination of all of them. Heart, mind, eyes and ears. I think the key question is: if you measured values of each of those four categories from 1-100, what would the mix be? I have my own thoughts about myself... I wonder what you think about yourself?
Great video, Mookie. My Dad was born in New York, but despite having been a Yankees/Mantle fan, he's always told me Mays was the best player that he ever seen. 1954 was an amazing year for the Giants. This video has a little bit of everything. Shoutouts to some newer TH-camr channels who are doing some really solid content, revisiting your first video, and then talking about some great Mays memories. I really like the gift that, Warren sent you. He's a great guy. The community is filled with, so many, awesome people.
Awesome VR’s Mookie and a new channel with someone in my neck of the woods in Iowa Dave. Great scorecard pickup & amazing gift from Warren as well. He is just a fantastic guy. Really enjoyed this one, have a great rest of the week sir.
Hey Mookie, great video! I love collecting the old Yankees scorecards (69' and older). Between the cover art, the smell of the paper and the legendary players listed as starters, it's an awesome piece of baseball history.
You are so right about those scorecards! I could be wrong, but I think the Yankees, Giants and Dodgers all used the same printer for their scorecards. The feel and smell and history of them is very underappreciated for sure!
Here’s Mookie, indeed! Nice well deserved and effective shoutouts. Because I wasn’t familiar with them. Orlando, Mangini, Junk Wax hero for example all great channels but they don’t need shoutouts. Great cards , great community. Enjoyed your trifecta of Vr’s. Good luck, thanks for sharing and Good Collecting 👍❤️
a Triple Lindy never hurt anyone! I'm goin Back to School!!!! I LOVE THE MOOKIE MINUTES! You're inching ever so close to the 53. I'm excited for you. Big fan already to all the channels you mentioned.
Thanks, Mookie. I just subscribed to Iowa Dave's channel. I was already subscribed to the other 2. Awesome choices for your cards as well! I also just recently discovered WarrenD also. Awesome gift from Warren! Very cool history tied to them both! Great VRs my friend. Love it Mook!
Awesome VRs all around, buddy! I am now subbed to every channel mentioned in this video. Glad to have been along for the ride since the beginning, pal. A Mays SPECTACULAR to end it! 👏
Howdy Mookie ! I remember you showing the 57 Giants Score Card, that is cool. Nice Willie items. Great WS program, nice gift, looks clean. 2 really neat, historical programs. C ya !
Wow this was so good!! Actually think I watched/listened to this one along time ago while driving!!😁 it was so good i listened to it again today!!! Great story about Willie and Warren Ds program!!!!
@ It’s all good! My family actually took a trip to New York a few weeks back! My ultimate plan was to meet you and deliver it- surprise! We actually stayed in an air bnb in Weehawken NJ. Hope you need a few!
Thank you for the shoutout my friend. ❤ Amazing video. So thoughtful as always. I love how the announcer said Willie had a “run scoring” RBI, as opposed to an RBI that didn’t score a run. That would have sucked, lol
Wow, what a cool program! Warren really hit you in the PC, amazing gift! This was my favorite Mookie (10) minute(s) I’ve ever seen. Next video I’d like a Mookie pie chart. When the giants left NY, what percentage became SF fans, Yankee fans, Mets fans and other
Pretty cool to see your original video pop up on your channel. I remember finding your channel when you were right around 100 subscribers or so. You have really grown! Nice 54 Topps Mays and always enjoy hearing about Mays. Nice images and program of him and thanks for sharing with us. Hope you are doing well.
Thanks for this kind comment, Steve. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you through your collection and your videos. I appreciate your support very much!
I do enjoy Dave's/ channel/ podcast. Graig and Shane are awesome! Love it all Mookie! "You are killing Smalls!" I am not worthy! I can't tell you how happy I am that I know that piece is in the proper hands for sure!
It has been a long time since I've seen a 1953 Jackie with a pinhole in it. Good luck finding one. I believe the CFBI has all of them serial numbered and with a tracker. So if a new one pops up... Sweet last game program. Willie being stolen from NY has that feel of, "please return Willie. No questions asked. Reward." I thought you were starting to choke up talking about Willie's last AB.
You do great work, Mookie. Always very high caliber content. I watched that episode with Iowa Dave. Pretty mind blowing. I didn’t know baseball content had such a high intellectual bar. I just subbed Warren CLE. Will check him out. Crazy awesome score cards! Thanks for being such a great member of this community. Go Mets!
I'm blushing Doug! Dave is just an extremely talented journalist and thinker - it figures you've found him already! Thanks for your kind support, pal. I really appreciate it.
Some wild stuff man I just snagged some boxes to crack from the 90s on my channel thinking it was a good throw back but your way further back and and I love it. New to your page so new sub here almost at 500!!!

As Thornton Melon says: Ya gotta look out for number one... and don't step in number two! hahaha thanks Mike - I appreciate it buddy!
Great couple of cards goals there! And what a Mays...and what a couple of "lasts" regarding those scorecards! That is just fantastic! Kudos!
Peeps, I am so happy you enjoyed. I'm just still in awe of your corkboard collection. Trying to keep my chill, but it's hard.

Great VR responses Mookie! You nailed the triple Lindy as well as Mr. Mellon himself!
It's the best movie about diving EVER - am I right?? hahahaha
Love that historic scorecard you bought at an unbelievable price. You totally scored with that scorecard. The program is real cool too! Congrats!
Coach, that Polo Grounds scorecard is one of my more unbelieable finds ever! Thanks so much for your kind words and support!

You're so right! Old-timey announcing at its finest! Thanks Brent - you earned that shout out dude. No freebies here! hahaha
Thanks for the shoutout dude, appreciate it. I’ve never heard Mays’ last at bat either, that was a treat.
You're so nice to me in comments! How come that doesn't happen in real life?? hahahaha Thanks pal!
Willie the 🐐. He lived across the highway from me for a while. Great nuggets throughout this vid.
Right on! That’s super cool - thanks for watching, I really appreciate the kind words
Good VR’s!Nice Mays card and Mets program! Nice edit with the Wprld Series broadcast!
I'm sure he wishes he could have driven in the game winner, but Willie's last hurrah was still special. Thanks so much for this kind comment, Alan!
Gave a video like. Nice VR's and loved seeing the '73 WS program. Warren is awesome!
Right on Brian! Thanks so much - Warren crushed it!
I always enjoy listening to old broadcasts. There is a series on Spotify that does the very same thing that I'm addicted to
Oh Allen - I have to look that up!! Thanks for the tip!

There was a little bit of splash on the Triple Lindy, but the difficulty still made it worthy of a high score.
I miss the Olympics already.
Skaght, as long the team wins the big meet I will be thrilled. Thanks buddy!!
Some good responses for some good doods Mookie!
Thanks pal! I had fun talking about these guys. What a hobby!!
