    What is the purpose of this bridge? From the video it looks as though one side is just a field surrounded by buildings!

    Always seems to be the West of Scotland getting all the NW Projects. Never the East or even North.

      2010 - Airdrie-Bathgate rail link opens.
      2012 - Paisley Canal line electrified.
      2013 - Opening of Conon Bridge station.
      2014 - Cumbernauld and Whifflet lines electrified.
      2015 - Opening of the Borders Railway. Opening/Reopening of stations in Shawfair, Eskbank, Newtongrange, Gorebridge, Stow, Galashiels and Tweedbank.
      2016 - Edinburgh Gateway station opens as part of EGIP.
      2017 - Edinburgh via Falkirk High Railway line electrified.
      2018 - Electrification of railway to Stirling, Dunblane and Alloa. Class 385 trains enter service.
      2019 - Reopening of Robroyston station. Completion of Phase 1 of the Aberdeen to Inverness improvement project - redoubling from Kittybrewster to Inverurie. Shotts line electrified.
      2020 - Reopening of Kintore station.
      2021 - Completion of Edinburgh to Glasgow Improvement Programme. Newly rebuilt Glasgow Queen Street station opens.
      2022 - Reopening of Reston station.
      2023 - Opening/Reopening of East Linton and Inverness Airport stations. Electrification of Barrhead
      Been told Network Rail works for Scottish Government so go figure.

      yeah right the state of chinese engineering is shocking just need to look at some of the videos on here to realise how much of a sham the construction is over in china

    should have kept the steel plant open, with the thousands of jobs that it supported! The steel plant closed in 1984 and now you only just building bridge more than 30 years later! Where are the Jobs? Where are the answers to the the politicians promises after the steel works closed? Margret thatcher closed the steel works nearly 40 years ago and only now you building this bridge. whatever excuses you have will never make up for the lost jobs and destroyed lives in the community around Ravenscraig.
