Now come and see what North Lanarkshire Council has done in Bellshill. They reduced access to the Free State to one way in. My journey from Community Road which should have been 1 left turn, 1 right turn and one 1 left turn is now 1 right turn, 1 left turn, 1 right turn to Footfield Road, right turn to Hamilton Road, right turn at Crossgates (having negotiated unplanned traffic lights!), drive the FULL length of Motherwell Road and double back on myself to get access to Blairholm Drive! And I should be grateful for a ton of steel! I think not.
