No último final ele se destacou em cima das falhas ridículas de marcação de Leonardo (que, na verdade, o deixou avançar sozinho na pequena área e até hoje é cobrado por isso). I was 10 years old at that time & was in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where we lived as a family as my father worked there in a car spare-parts shop. My father's favourite team of this tournament was Croatia for their progression in this particular tournament. After this tournament the next sporting event of significance which I watched was the Cricket World Cup 1999 held in England & next year the 2000 Sydney Olympics were the first Olympics I saw with interest. I'm from Pakistan & currently a government teacher since 2015, I hold an MA English Literature degree from University of the Punjab.
I was 12 watching this live. Till this days I believe Ronaldo Nazario was under performance enhancing drugs in this match, which was not the case in the final vs France. The final must have been France vs Netherlands

Antes de iniciar a prorrogação nós achavamos que o Brasil iria ter um modo de jogo um pouco mais conservador, devido ao risco de tomar o gol e a partida acabar imediatamente. Não foi isso o que aconteceu. Na prorrogação o jogo se acelerou ainda mais e foi uma montanha russa de emoções com chances dos dois lados. Foi a melhor partida da copa de 1998 e uma das mais memoráveis de todas as copas. Inesquecível.

Could have been without Kluivert scoring another... Referee totally missed the foul against van Hooijdonk in the last minute of the game... It was a 100% foul in the penalty box. Most replays don't include this moment but its shown in this one.
