I decided to get 6 Plus batteries when I got my Mini 4 Pro, knowing Plus would push me over the limit, because that also gave me about the same total flight time as the RC 2 controller discharge time. Maximized what I could do. Since I was already over the limit, I got the cheapest RID I could, added some legged landing gear to mount it to, a cooling fan/battery/controller combo to force air through the bottom of the drone, and a night strobe. Total weight is now 350g. And it DOES handle wind much better(I usually get 15-25 mph winds here). So, it was well worth it for me, even with only getting 30 minutes of flight time now. BUT, was it worth the extra money, having to register, et. al.? Probably not. LOL
@@terrybobb2191 It didn't for me until this latest firmware patch. Now it sees the plus batteries and turns on outside. Inside, still nothing. I find that interesting. BUT even with it on only one app, Drone Scanner, sees it. ALL of them see my Holystone RID module.
Thanks for informing me about the mini pro plus batteries I brought 2 with charger and I was curious I will send it back and stick with my originals that came with my mini pro4.
I think the only real advantage to the larger batteries is flying in windy areas. You may not be that far out, but you may need a little extra in the tank to get her home.
Definitely, I had almost ran out of battery last night, luckily it didn’t force landing where I was out or it had been in a 30ft pine tree 🥲, had I been using the Plus battery I’d have been able to fly about another 10 mins
Hmmm... interesting comparison test. So some people are saying there's a difference in signal range between the Pro vs Plus batteries? That's weird. I specifically bought an M3P Plus battery for my M4P to increase flight duration. After all, here in Thailand we also have the Line Of Sight limitation.
It's not abt the distance but how stable the connection is in the range you take it, say if there are trees, buildings or just a lit of signal interference
you would be surprised how much getting on your roof might help. I can get another mile out of mine depending on which side of some trees I'm standing on at my house.
I did my first range test around my house and I was able to get 3.809 miles. Now if I am in my backyard that is only a couple blocks away from this test I only get about 2 miles. But I have trees all around me. You can see it here below. I do have the Mini 4 pro plus battery with the RC 2 controller. I like your test you did. th-cam.com/video/tudrN4Gj_h8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QODtbLcnQ2yTveg1
Yeah, I don’t think people really understand how much interference there is when you’re in a neighborhood where there’s a lot of trees, houses, telephone/electric poles etc
@@JordanHandwerker it does for me. Sometimes just moving to a different spot in my yard clear up the reception. When I want distance I fly toward the downhill. And I can go much farther.

doesnt the mini 4 pro have Remote ID built into it??

Great test there buddy.
Thank you 🙏🏻

Why did you sending it back ?

No, I was just testing the range comparison between the two, seeing if having more juice in the tank would get me further
I feel like the RC2 controller has a better signal at range. But honesty, its rare that anyone flies their drone that far out

Exactly 🤘🏻
The scenary is amazing! Which county is that?
It’s the southern USA
@@JordanHandwerker oh definitely not Texas 😂 maybe Alabama or Georgia am i right

What application for screen record are you using in your phone.
Uh I think it’s just the one that comes on the IPhone 🤔😅
Can battery plus on DJI mini pro 4?
Maybe? Idk… you can use the DJI mini 3 pro battery plus in the DJI mini 4 pro. Just like in this video
Did u use fcc mode ?
Yes
can you use a Mini 3 Pro battery to Mini 4 Pro?
In this video I’m using the DJI mini 3 Pro flight intelligent battery Plus and the mini 4 pro battery
Good thing I got the RC2 cos i cant get notifications😅

I live in Florida, the flat and low land of America, getting 8ft onto a roof isn’t going to make much of a difference when the trees are 40ft tall
That is about the same distance I get in my wifi community still no permanent full proof answers to wifi problems for any drone

Should have went on your roof. I think you would have got better range. I've seen people go much farther
The extra 8ft wouldn’t have done much through the other houses and trees
