The characters only spawn in when you get a question wrong. This is notable in Explorer Mode, where Baldi counts down to make the other characters spawn in before he just disappears. In Baldi’s Basics Classic, when he does this, the friendly version despawns and the hostile version spawns to fill in the role of “Baldi.”
YuB, might I recommend Five Nights at Baldi's? It is pretty much what you would expect. Five Nights at Freddy's but at Baldi's Schoolhouse with Baldi's characters.
