Sorcery is a great game
Love learning and mastering the many different Avatars. It's like mastering the many different classes in Diablo, for example. Underneath it all you have a great game and dozens of way to play it!

Can’t wait to get my precondition and booster box this week/early next week and try it out.
29 year magic veteran, saw the art spoilers, interest was peaked, bought a kit and opened it. Immediately switched games. Keep doing what your doing, stay a small company, keep the game collectible. This is the best card game in the world. It may take time, but those who haven’t realized it yet, they will.
Love all of it. Erik and Simon laying out the crystal clear direction of Sorcery yet again.
I’ve been sober from drugs and alcohol for about a year and a half, I’m an addict by nature, and now instead of substances….. I open sorcery boxes , and I need my fix 😂 ( it’s been about a week since I’ve opened a box )…..

Thanks for restoring our love of CCG's. My 9yo son and I have been playing sealed and building our collection with 2 alpha boxes and 8 beta boxes. Amazing stories told with each game, and every turn of a binder page. Keep up the great work!

Played a game this morning against my son. I was AoW and he was Sorcerer. Toward the end, I had a submerged Kraken under my AoW which was nearby his Sorcerer. I triggered my Kraken, brought him to 5, me to 1. Then I Font of Life 2x for a total of 16 life gain. My next turn, I played Drown on my Kraken, triggered my AoW and teleported far away. Then triggered my Kraken again to put him at DD. My next turn I teleported into position to Ice Lance for the win. But…most of all, a fun time spent with my son. Appreciate how this affords fun times and memories with my boys. Merry Christmas!!

He's learning that life is hard and cruel and full of unfullfilled dreams and that you cant even hope for mercy by even your closest relatives. I like your story! :D
I am so happy with many aspect of this TCG. I play lots with my 11 year old son and we are having a blast trying to make our cards work in unexpected way. we particularly enjoy the turn base pace of the game as it creates a sense of satisfaction in terms of unfolding your strategy/ story. I would be very curious to know how the team approach and manage the power creep aspect of the game and determining how cards retain their respective power level.Thank you to all the team for bringing so much fun to our homes and LGS.

Eriks insight on how other TCGs are building a corporate franchise to sell merchandise and how in contrast Sorcery will use existing mythology to build its world was a very interesting point, thanks for the video!
Would like to see a full on specific digital client for Sorcery in the next few years. I think that will really help players around the world not close to a big city or areas with little/no community yet. The ability to play with others really highlights the best strength of Sorcery, it's gameplay and will help with introducing the game as another gateway into the TCG.
Would like to see 20x Void Tokens in the next preconstructed product. Many casual players do not use/have playmats and/or some don't want to carry around playmats everywhere. Being able to lay out the grid with cards would be more accessible/convenient to a wider audience and situations.
Would like to see more 100k+ content creators on youtube talking about the game and showing how different it is compared to other TCGs. Many people think it's a "Magic clone" and that couldn't be further from the truth. It's a much better designed game and more of a card/board game hybrid.

I just LOVE the honesty in the interviews. Personally, Sorcery is my biggest surprise of 2023. I love the game, the artworks and the community. My only nit pick would be the "low" print run of Beta. But hearing you talking about it and that you are already working on it, makes me REALLY hopeful for Arthurian Legends and 2024 in general.

hmm the low print run is literally one of the main reasons for the success. Under printing is ALWAYS preferred and we have seen overprinting completely destroy games to the point that no LGS wants to carry it as they are losing money.
@@silverwolf6866 Low print runs are cool, If you still have the ability purchase the product somewhere. In Germany literally every online trader is out of stock. You can't even buy it for a high price.
@@Card.Factory Straight up lie. I "literally" just went to the first website that popped in my head which is German ebay. Plenty of boxes for sale.
Low print run IS a problem as much as overprinting. In my opinion, even more
@@davedu34270 You provided zero evidence for your opinion. Therefore it is worthless and incorrect. There is not a SINGLE game you can point to in the history of all tcgs that has died due to low print runs. There are countless games that have due to overprinting as well as those that damaged their brand permanently.
Here's a story for you - We were playing a game where my opponent used the "Spear of Destiny" against me and the game just pivoted. No longer were we looking to take out the opponents Avatar, it became this massive side battle to gain control of the Spear. Eventually, after expending numerous resources (on both sides) I gained control of the spear and we got back to playing the game. The funny thing was though that once I got the spear it really became a non-factor for the rest of the game.
Great job with the game guys! My wife and I love the game, we play all the time. I go to my LGS and play there and everyone is always curious and comes and checks the game out.

I’ve been playing cards games for a long time and I have to say that Sorcery is so much more than a card game. The stories that are told and the interactions/choices have meaning. one of my favorite cards so far is rolling bolder!! i’ve squished so many minions with this card and i think on time I got 3-4 in one push. Thank you Sorcery team for creating such an amazing game that many of us love to play and collect. Looking forward to Arthurian Legends and beyond

Fun story. So I introduced sorcery to my card group with a fan made multiplayer map. 1v1v1. My one buddy had an aura based deck and was building walls and creating like death maze. We so fun and hilarious playing together they both after the game was over said “oh yeah I like this game”
This game brings me back to the magical times of my childhood ...and then some ...thank you for such a great game - super excited for more ...but not too quickly...the pace is perfect :)

We played Sorcery TCG last night here in Auckland, New Zealand. It was a draft event and it was super awesome! All the players were super laid back and the whole event was great. Love playing the game and have already taught a few people how to play!
I just found this game a few months ago and I'm absolutely thrilled and impressed with the artwork and gameplay. Alpha is picking up a lot of collectors interested. Beta is becoming popular now as well. Keep the NEW artwork designs coming with NEW names keeping anything older collectable ❤

My partner wasn't into card games at all and as someone who is super into every card game it was my goal to find something that he'd play with me. Sorcery is the only game I've gotten him to enjoy and as for my own enjoyment with the game it definitely exceeds all. It's so unique and has so many cool interactions its really fun everytime we play it and we're so excited for more. We wish you all the best and we're excited for what's to come

I’ve heard people criticize the amount of time it takes to play a game, I understand that it’ll more than likely shorten over time with more experienced players, but what do you guys think about adding in a chess time clock element for a more complicated interaction? I am not in a position to test out my theory unfortunately

i appreciate wanting to stay small but i think eventually you will have to expand, also a bit on advertising too. we're still tight knit and most that know the game and that are already in are in the game and ready for the long term, now we just need more fresh blood.
This game has a bright future with it's high quality standards, great gameplay and limited printing (aka collectability). If they do not make the same mistake of overprinting that other card games continuously make due to greed and poor data analysis the game will prosper. I just hope this is the one game that finally learns from this mistake and does not repeat it due to listening to whining people about availability of boxes when both beta boxes and cards are easily available.

Congrats to the success of this year. Please try to maintain print runs and do not overprint due to the 1 year releases. I think a good release schedule would be 2 main releases and 1-2 small expansions per year.
Also if please do some inspired pieces in the realm of the games Elden ring or blasphemous. I would be in heaven lol.
Europe distribution when? Very hard to find any product in EU. I get overprinting is bad and whatever - but not enough product to garner a playerbase also seems bad.

Boxes are still at msrp. If you are in the states use google. There is going to be another wave in February
That is how you destroy a game, as we have seen time and again yet people still don't learn. No LGS or any store will carry or promote a product that they lose money on due to overprinting.

If you want to play with your big money, don't be a coward and go to the stock market like a grown up.
These ppl don't play, and I hear you, maybe they allow the game to persist for a while, but when hype is gone, a game without players is just a dead game.
Game first, secondary market then.
Back then, Magic managed to reprint in a way that granted collector a lot of value, so don't tell me it can't be done.
Give me bordered, golden back or whatever I just don't care, but make the game accessible so we can drag down new players and easily buy cards for game purposes.

They have an interest in marketing products that offer a large profit margin. Therefore you get FREE MARKETING from these stores. That is how you get more players. Making a game worthless is how you destroy a game. period. I don't get this obsession and jealousy of people that resell products. It's mindboggling to me how that has anything to do with you. Mind your own business and you will be happier for it. If you want to resell toilet paper or you want to buy stocks is your business. "Magic managed to reprint in a way that granted collector a lot of value" - increasing supply of a collectable never in the history of this planet has increased its value. You clearly do not live in the real world.
You guys have the opportunity to kick all kinds of ass right now. MTG is floundering, Lorcana is a failure of a game and One Piece just doesn't have the strategy to cut it. Remember you don't have to make all the money. Keep making a great game!

Agreed no more reprints of beta, hopefully it was printed at 50-60k , if you need make a revised 😉 keep the value of beta boxes stable to what they are now and the singles ( other than top cards ) are pretty cheap already
Next base set needs to be called "completed" for the "c" symbol. "a" for alpha, "b" for beta, "c" for completed, and so on!
not even close...the initial release sets need to be printed in order for availability so that people CAN get into the game...you can't have collectability when the game isn't even popular enough to even be able to over print. All they need to do is stagger distribution and reprint when needed. They don't need to do the 70+ product releases per year like Hasbruh has been doing with MTG.

Make good card draw more available to the other elements besides air. I feel like the best decks are earth/air, fire/air, water/air combos

Please don't make the mistake of releasing too much product, which forced me out of my favorite hobby Magic the Gathering. I really want to try this game but I can't get hold of the starter decks in Sweden 😭

Counterspells add a whole new dimension to the game, I think they are great. Have you never enjoyed using one?
Sorcery is an amazing game but it can't decide what it wants to be. The game plays like a board game and feels like an LCG. But it's sold like a collectible gambling game which is a turn off to those who enjoy board games. Beautiful artwork and unique gameplay undermined by an incompatible sales and marketing approach.
On TCG Player sealed prices are increasing while individual card prices are rapidly falling. In other words, demand by actual players is weakening while speculators are driving up acquisition costs. It foreshadows a death spiral as the most likely player base (board gamers seeking a causal play experience) loses interest in the gambling sales model. At some point, with an anemic player base, SCR will fade to a collection of post cards with nice art killed by bad marketing.

is the set size going to be the same in Aurtherian Legends as A/B (400+ cards) and will it be 100% new cards?
I'd imagine it'd be similar set size and I'd be surprised if the whole thing isn't 100% new based on the way everyone is talking about the set :).
