NF said he wrote the last part of the song before releasing the mixtape, it wasn’t originally there, the rest of the song was written about a year ago, I think him getting a son has really lifted him up, he found his confidence now, so it makes sense he sorts out his thoughts by the end of the song. I feel NF is gonna be a whole different breed apart from what he already was now.

knox has the best breakdowns that I am rushing to get dressed because I have school but I don't want to be late to the vid cause I know my friends will talk about it.
I meant to comment this earlier, but better late than never.
That last portion is written like a prayer, crying out for god to help him be better.
“Ignorant of my ignorance, tell me I’m worth it god” he struggles to see things the way they are, he’s always so cynical and pessimistic. Then he goes on to plead for god to give him faith and strength to overcome it. He feels insignificant, worthless even, and he doesn’t want to, but he can’t escape this without god. That’s why I think the end bit is so powerful and hits so hard, is a confession and plea to god for help.
Or that’s how I took it anyway.
I believe the ending bit was also written at a later time than the rest of the song. Originally the slow piano at the end was how the song ended then he added that last bit later and closer to the mixtape release.
He said in his life on Saturday that he added the humming and the past verse to this track. He said he felt like something was missing. It's those little things his perfectionism brings that sets him apart
it's so good for me to find this kind of rap at this point in my life. it's stupendously relatable and it sucks because it hurts.

Clouds Mixtape is his best album so far, by far. He constantly steps up his game, each album was a new level. But Clouds jumped like 3 levels. Drifting is definitely his best on this album and one of my faves. He's simply amazing and so many people sleep on him, it's a shame. Most people are all about that mumble rap or gangster rap that sound cool and perpetuate a negative culture they call racism when it's called out, instead of being about rap like this that carries a story, holds a meaning, and is so emotional. THIS is music, all that other stuff about drugs, guns, crimes, killings, disrespecting women... that's all noise.

A lot of people get wisdom in pieces about a subject or self reflection and it seems he has the ability to see all of and then transform it into a song with not just the lyrics but emotions, music placement and then when he does a actual video it’s def more evident. •The fact it's a present has me assuming he's keeping it a surprise. A BIG surpise.. hence a new album. When you ask? Well next bulletpoint..
• he said "when I do come back to tour"... his ONLY tour date is September 2nd at the state fair.
If people are going to hear him perform CLOUDS (THE MIXTAPE), then why not at the very least announce the new album. Then follow up with a new track from the album, which will undeniably have the crowd "jump for joy".
