I just got the DMT shoes. The heel is loose compared to the giros if I were to walk normally. The rubber gripper is meh I got the DMT on sale for half off, but giro is probably my trusted shoe.
I agree with you. The heel is a bit loose, but I do have skinnier heels. Giro are still my favorites, though recently I've been mixing in the S-Phyre too.
Did you have problem clipping in when you first installed the Shimano SPD-SL cleat? When I try to clip in on my bike, it’s doesn’t have the float like my other shoes, it’s stiff on the left and the right side doesn’t even clip in. Do you have any solutions to my problem with these shoes? I have the DMT KR0
do you clean those pearl izumi after this video? if you can make those white knitted shoes looks as fresh as new, I hope you can make some tutorial or some tips to clean those shoes
@@utahcanyoncycling i’m decindin between a 45,5 and a 46. With the smaller ones i can feel my toes against te front when i walk. (But not when standing still) But i want to make sure they dont expand
@@utahcanyoncycling I'm glad it worked for you as well. It's been a wonder for me for lots of things around the house, my cycling shoes & gear and car.
These are exactly the two shoes I’m trying to decide between. Thanks for the video! Definitely appreciate the sizing down advice on the KR0

Does DMT shoes have removable shoe beds or are the fixed permanent?
They have a thin removable insole, but the footbed is quite shaped so fitting an aftermarket insole would be tough.
how do you clean ur DMTs?
Question, I wear a 45 wide in shimano, what size should I buy for the Pearl izumi pro v5?
Pearl Izumi and Shimano have the same sizing. I wear the same size for both brands. I've never tried the wide versions though.
Hey, can you tell why KR0 and nor KRSL?
Mostly I wanted the Boa Dials for easy adjustment on the bike.
@@utahcanyoncycling thx for the answer! Do you know where this shoes are made (Italy, China)?
@@bananosipedist I don't the answer to that one, sorry!
What size are you wearing in the Giro and the DMT? I wear a 44 Giro and I can’t try on a DMT locally. Thanks!
I wear a 47 in Giro and a 46 in DMT

I haven't cleaned them yet.. but that's a great idea. I'll see what I can do. If it works I'll post a video for you.
How’s the fit after a while? Do they still fit like a glove or are they giving way in some places?
They still fit pretty well. I expected the knit upper to stretch out more, but it has held its shape fairly well.

How is the sizing compared to the giro imperial? thank you
The imperials are a 47, the DMT are a 46, but they fit about the same on my foot.
Where did you get the DMT’s in the US? I’ve only seen them on European websites.
ALE carries them here: alebikewear.com

Are the Pearl Izumis fit the widest on your shoes?
They look the widest, but they fit similar to the others, so not actually that much wider on the inside.
@@utahcanyoncycling Thanks for the info. I was considering it just based on the price and color. But looks like its hard to clean. :)
Do they run big? Small? True to size?
They run a bit big. These are a 46 and I usually wear a 47.
Are the kr0 waterproof?
They are not, but you can buy a water repellant fabric spray to help keep them clean.
Your shoes are cleaner than your ceiling… holy cobwebs Spider-Man lol😅
If you can only clean one thing, I guess it has to be the white shoes haha.
I can't stand that high carbon arch dmt has just trying them on it's so painful. It looks like thier newer models cut that down to fit more ppl
Yep, the old version was unwearable for me too. New version is better, but still higher than other brands like Giro.
lol... Use Dawn soapy 🧼 warm water with a soft to medium brush on v5 pearl izumi. works like a charm
I just cleaned mine how you suggested, worked really well. Thanks!
