I've never really had a problem with The Ordinary Azelaic Acid. I use it several times a week at night, alternating with my exfoliater. My routine is pretty simple, just cleanser, active and moisturizer (and sunscreen during the day) so there aren't many ingredients for it to interact with and since it's at night I don't have to worry about how it really looks under things, though I don't wear makeup either so I guess it doesn't matter too much.
I actually really love the texture of The Ordinary's azelaic acid. I use it as my primer, and it doesn't pill on me at all. Maybe it depends on your foundation. I use the L'oreal True Match Nude Hyaluronic Tinted Serum Foundation, and they pair really well together. I have a lot of rolling & boxcar acne scars, and the azelaic acid really seems to help brighten my skin and give it a bit smoother appearance.
THANK YOU for all the roseacea content!! It's a hard thing to find good and understandable information that one can apply to their own (very individual) version of roseacea and you're REALLY bringing it lately! ❤🦋❤️
The Ordinary's Azelaic Acid is how I learned about The Ordinary many moons ago. I go through a tube a month and it's one of the few things I take with me when I travel. I have mild Papulopustular rosacea outbreaks regularly, and I like to do a layer of azelaic acid following by an oclussive cream two to 3 times a week overnight (I cleanse and treat right after I get home from work so my skincare can soak in before bed). It does amazing things for my redness, rosacea bumps, and occasional acne. And since I use so much, I just stick with the cheap stuff that works.
I use The Ordinary’s Azelaic acid all over my face as a “my skin but better”. I love how it evens out the skin and makes my pores super tiny. I use it instead of makeup - the only makeup I use is mascara and sometimes a little bit of brow-gel. Because it’s so difficult to have with other products I use spf serum drops under the Azelaic acid and/or spf setting powder (bare minerals has a good one). I’m also happy to say that my skincare have payed off! I’m happier with my skin now when I’m in my forties than I was in my twenties. And it’s all thanks to skincare, I haven’t used any fillers. Religiously using retinoids (TO Granactive Retinoid 2% and Geek&Gorgeous A Game 10) and galactomyces is my recipe for great skin! 😉😘
I use the Ordinary's Azelaic Acid as well but I only use it at night and after I have moisturized to avoid any pilling - saw this suggested somewhere online and it works for me
been looking to find good azelaic acid products that i can implement into my routine! i've been struggling a lot with inflammation and redness so i'm so glad that cassandra has posted this video! much love :)
I didn't like the ordinary azeleic acid & their niacinamide serum on my face, but i found great use for these on my... armpits! I have stopped using deo since the pandemic happened & i discovered these products. While their niacinamide broke me out and their azeleic acid turns crusty & don't like other products in my routine, my dark & smelly armpits benefited from these two. No more B.O., and for the first time since teenage years, my hyperpigmented armpits visibly lightened. While there are still darker patches til now, i'm just happy with the overall results. I look forward to trying out your best azeleic acid recos. Thanks Cassandra!
Azelaic Acid is that ingredient that's multitalented, but difficult to understand, which is why it's quite difficult to find products that contain this ingredient. In my country, this ingredient isn't allowed to be used in otc products, so we only have prescription-strength (20%) Azelaic Acid cream that we can only get at pharmacies. Although the box says it requires prescription, anyone can buy it at pretty much any pharmacies without prescription. Same with Tretinoin, Adapalene, Isotretinoin, Hydroquinone, etc. I enjoy using Azelaic Acid gel because the texture isn't grainy, and it layers really well with other products.
I’ve used a few otc Azaleaic acids and switched to a 15% prescription strength about 1 1/2 years ago. The prescription strength really made a difference compared to the otc tbh. I love it!
cassandra thank you for introducing me to the ordinary azelaic acid 10% its done wonders for muy redness and evening out skintone !!! it melts into my skin like a pillow and its mattifying too!! i dont wear foundation so its a 100000/10 for me
Azelaic is a hit or miss. I just stopped using all the acids, because I was killing my skin using salicylic and also azelaic too often. If you have cystic acne, I'd rather recommend a tea tree oil gel or a niacin gel or a zinc gel or a benzoyl wash (I wish I had that here) or something else that doesn't exfoliate. One would think that acids are a good thing but too much of the good thing will rip your skin off and then you will get a wound that will take ages to heal.
I love the Paula’s choice, It definitely helped clear my pimples and rosacea. Sometimes I apply a light moisturizer first and use the azelaic acid after.
I am so glad Cassandras channel exists! I'm shopping for skincare right now and whenever I come across a product with ingredients I haven't heard of before or I don't understand the difference of products and/or ingredients I rush to this channel and more often then not she has one or several videos answering my questions and filling me with new information. Thank you Cassandra, you truly are the gps of the skincare world.
I do use and recommend Metroruboril from Isispharma (it's probably only available here in Europe and the UK). It's a 15% azelaic acid (here you can get 15% azelaic acid without prescription) which also contains niacinamide, centella asiatica, licorice root extract and green tea extract. It has a nice texture, it's not grainy and it doesn't peel at all. Hands down, one of the best azelaic acids - plus, it's not expensive at all (it cost me about 10-15 euros, depending where you get it from).
I've been looking for a 15% azelaic acid as Skinoren is only available at 20% otc here and I am afraid that would be too much for my skin. This one sounds great, thanks for the recommendation!
@@Alyumin I have rosacea and this product helps keeps it under control, but I would say do not expect it to do miracles - I did find it helpful for acne breakouts, but less on the redness aspect unfortunately (I have to say that I have a very stubborn rosacea, even after taking doxycycline/oracea, soolantra, it still bothers me and I’m still flushing like crazy). It’s definitely gentle on the skin, I would say start using it 3 or 4 days per week and if you want maybe increase it after a month or so. Patience is the key.
@@MB-wt3ei I don't use it for rosecea but for sun spots (along with other actives). I've been using it almost daily for a couple of months and have had no irritation at all, but my sun spots are still there. I sure hope patience is the key because azelaic acid, niacinamide, glycolic acid, retinal, vitamin C and SPF 50+ are the most I can do!
@@carob3323 I think that alpha arbutin might be helpful for you too. Doctor Dray recommended the alpha arbutin from Hada Labo - I also intended to use it for my rosacea, but it’s definitely useful for sun spots as well. Look it up and see if this could be something that you could use. Much love and hope your skincare journey goes well.
The Naturium Azelaic Acid Emulsion 10% has been game changing for my rosacea. I'm on my second bottle and have noticed significant lessening of redness in my cheeks and less flushing.
I use the SkinMedicinals Triple Rosacea Cream and it saved my face hands down. You DO need a prescription from a derm and it’s 50 dollars but for me it’s worth it
the ordinary’s azelaic acid has been my favorite product to put on my face just by the texture & matte finish. it feels like a hug on my skin. i don’t use makeup though so i don’t know about that. but when i’d be on the zaza i would catch myself just putting it on, eyes closed, & getting lost in the feeling bc it felt like heaven; soooo soothing.
Hi Alanuchiha, thank you for your comment. Great inds think and act alike, I feel the same way. You just made my day, thank yiou again and have a great day!!
My dermatologist prescribed a compounded cream that's mostly azelaic acid. It's done wonders for my rosacea and also has helped with some hyperpigmentation from sun damage. . And yes, it's a little, tiny bit gritty. And Cassandra, that top is an amazing color on you!
The only one I've tried is Paula's Choice and I love it. It doesn't pill as much if I don't use serums with it. I love my serums, so my method is to use it only at night and then slug over it. *Please be advised that it's not recommended to slug over a product that has the actives it contains!* The first time I tried slugging over it, I did it several hours before bed to see if I had any irritation and I didn't. Now I do it regularly. For reference, I slug with Cerave Healing Ointment or a generous layer of L'Oreal Collagen Cream (fragrance free). Side note, neither of those products are vegan, nor is Aquaphor, so if you are vegan, you would need to slug with pure petrolatum, a vegan product containing petrolatum, or a very occlusive moisturizer. *Also, not everyone with rosacea can slug, so please be careful if you try any of this.* I just wanted to share what has helped me. The best (least red) my skin ever looks is when I wake up after slugging.
I think the ordinary is a fabulous, the texture is really good and not chalky at all, not sure why people keep saying that. It's not gritty at all. It's never once balled up under makeup.
Love, love absolutely LOVE the Paula’s choice one but for all of those days that I’m working from home. As you pointed out, it doesn’t pair great with makeup but I think is also a great boost to my vitamin C in the morning and SPF
Dermatica actually also have a seperate 20% azelaic acid cream (with the most elegant formula of all, IMO). It doesn't contain salicylic acid, unlike a lot of other azelaic products, and it's not as matifying as Paula's Choice. It's great under makeup, makes the skin visibly smoother as the day goes on and it's available without signing up to the prescription subscription service.
Naturium's 10% azeleic acid emulsion has worked wonders for me in smoothing out my skin. Think it's about $16, and contains squalane so layers great between serums, tretinoin, and night cream :)
I keep wondering why no one ever talks about the Facetheory A15 Serum with 15% Azelaic Acid. It is formulated with proven ingredients. For me, it works great with most products, whether makeup or other skincare products. It's also cruelty-free. Here in Europe, you can get it over the counter, which is fantastic, I love it so much.
Hi , could you please try and provide your opinion for Eva naturals azelaic acid 10% and face theory azelaic acid 15%. I found these as more affordable.
I hope the body care craze starts to include some azelaic acid body products. I love it for kp but it's kind of expensive to buy small 1 oz serums lol.
The best azelaic acid I've used is the Facetheory lumizela (%10). The only thing is it's kinda easy to use too much, and it is irritating if you use too much. Otherwise, it is very cosmetically elegant, and sinks into skin super nicely. And not irritating at all if you use the right amount!
I actually love the ordinary azeliac acid. It has never pilled under my makeup and I like the feel as well. The biggest thing…..it works and agrees with me. Maybe it’s the makeup as I’ve never had a problem
FaceTheory is amazing with their 10% and 15% azalaic acid serums! They're an EU brand and you can get the 15% sent (anything over 10 percent is sold OTC in the US) and they are very reasonable priced.
I just had a terrible experience with FaceTheory where they refused to send over the necessary documentation to get the 15% through US customs (going so far as to tell me the products were "lost in transit" which FedEx customer service told me it was not). So order with caution.
@@amandadeering3752 , I've ordered from the UK site to ship to the US 3 times with no issues. How long ago did you have issues? Wondering if this is a new issue or if I got lucky.
I absolutely love the 15% from Facetheory, I buy them 3 at a time, use it morning and night, so awesome! I have it sent from the UK site to Canada and never had an issue with customs or anything.
This just recently happened last week. I was so disappointed as I was told by multiple people that they had no issues doing so. They ended up canceling my order and refunding the money. In the process of waiting for response from Facetheory after emailing them about it.
Part of the reason I like Curology is the Azaleic acid included in the tret formula. It's gritty for sure, but I just apply gently. It's the most affordable of all the custom tret brands.
I forgot to mention, I like that formula because I saw near instant results, which I figured were due to the Azaleic acid and niacinamide since it was too soon to see results from the tret.
Paula’s Choice Azeleic Boost has been a huge help for me with my rosacea and this weird, rough texture I get around my nose area now. I don’t love the price but it’s worth it. I use it in place of toner / witch hazel. First thing on my face after washing. I wonder if the Skinfix wash would be helpful for Seborrheic Dermatitis (which is also a fungal yeast issue). 🤔
I've used the Ordinary one. It's good regarding how it works on reducing redness, but I have a hard time committing to it in my routine because it doesn't absorb into the skin and then pills under a moisturiser and sunscreen :( I'm glad you posted about these other products so I can choose one to give a try and hope it's easier to incorporate for a daily use :)
I use the Ordinary's Azelaic Acid as well but I only use it at night and after I have moisturized to avoid any pilling - saw this suggested somewhere online and it works for me
Cos de BAHA Azelaic Acid serum and Cos de BAHA Azelaic Acid Hinokitiol Clear Skin are hands down the best azelaic acid serums out there. The only problem that I have with Cos de BAHA products is the smell, but they are indeed very effective and non-expensive 🥰
I love Ordinary Azelaic Acid. It creates a velvet feeling on my skin. But I am going to try Dr Sam's neutralizing gel. Just considered it before opening your video, so you just helped me to make a final decision. We'll see if I like it. Your videos are lovely, I watch them even though I am in the UK.
Naturium has 2 different Azelaic acid products. Im currently using the emulsion and the texture I quite like. Ive used it for 2 weeks prior to starting retin-A but mayb that wasnt long enough as now i get a bit of sensitivity whn i apply it in the morning. NOTE: i dont have sensitivity when applying my retin-A........ only the Azelaic acid which is used in a different routine.
Have you tried the Geek & Gorgeous (azelaic acid derivative) or the one from Face Theory? I tried Paula’s Choice but it doesn’t mix well with my other serums (like you said).
Hi! I've used the G&G one. Only one bottle tho. I have rosacea and it did not irritate me. Formula is amazing and it kinda worked! I think for me PaD isn't as effective as azelaic acid tbh.
I've used an azelaic acid serum from Naturium, in the aim of treating hyperpigmentation and occasional mild acne. I'm not sure how helpful it was, I used up one bottle and then moved onto trying The Ordinary ascorbic acid (I'm new to skin care and want to try a few different things), but it was very pleasant to use, a nice serum that absorbed well and seemed to keep my mild acne under control.
Wish facetheory's Lumizela azelaic acid serum was included in this list! It's my holy grail - has the most cosmetically appealing formula I've personally ever tried and also includes green tea, colloidal oat and aloe. Has done wonders for my rosacea, could not recommend enough!!!
Dermatica now also have a non prescription azelaic acid product with 20% azelaic acid which is in a lotion form that doesn’t ball up. (I don’t know if this is only available in Europe. But if it’s a ail able it can be found among their skincare product line alongside a moisturising lotion and a cleanser. Alongside that the Facetheory Lumizela azelaic acid serum is my favourite which works beautifully on the skin and comes in a propanediol compound that makes it very cosmetically elegant and perfect for drier skin types too.❣️
Curious if you have tried Naturium azelaic with c serum? I bought it because I had a target gift card & learned helpful for clogged pores that cause blackheads. It is in a dropper a serum and it has no grit or pilling. Sometimes it sting a little I've never tried another azelaic product so have nothing to compare it to. It was about $15
I like the Paula's Choice one best as it is so elegant, but it is expensive. I was never too fond of The Ordinary's Azelaic Acid due to the fact that it pills easily. Facetheory's Lumizela is great and has a lovey texture. It is available in 10% and 15% depending on local restrictions.
@@dvforever No, it glides on and sinks in quickly. Facetheory's Azelaic acid is probably more suitable for drier skin as it's more dewy. Paula's Choice is more mattifying.
Just rewatching your vids cause I love them so much! I would love if you took some TH-cam comments where people dropped their routine and you rated them just off of the products themselves. I would love to hear your opinion! Been watching for almost a year now, and you’ve helped me so much, thank you :). Just a thought
In Canada azelaic acid is only available through prescription unless you order it from a place outside the country. I use Dr. Sam Bunting's Brightly serum which I love but is expensive.
I am using the Foam Clenser with Azelaic acid from Graydon skincare, I like that it doesn't have AHA-BHA in it, and it's frangrace free and good for my super dry sensitive skin! The donwside with clenser is that in order to have the benefit of ingrediant you kinda need to leave on a few minutes....
I used to use ordinary's one but I wasn't happy about the formulation so I switched to Paula's. I really like how azelaic acid calms and smoothes my skin when it's stressed. if my skin is already in good condition then taking out of my routine doesn't make any difference.
I like Cos De Baha Azelaic acid. It has niacinamide, aloe leaf, and hyaluronic acid. The texture can be too slippery but using a few drops will do the trick. I use it on top of vitamin c in the morning and underneath sunscreen.
I had high hopes for the TO azelaic acid but, as you said, it's gritty. It made me laugh when you said it could ball up/pill "a little bit" 'cause I hated that it pilled a helluva lot, so much so that I could only use it before bed. I'm using formulations from the Agency now. One has tretinoin .05% with 5% azelaic acid & another has 10% azelaic acid with kojic acid. They're not gritty at all & absolutely don't pill.
Hi people My knees and elbows are darker than my body my question is Vitamin c And Alpha arbutin Which one is good and help first ☺️ If you know more about that Please reply Thanks 🥰😊
Q+A skincare!!! Their azelaic acid serum is under 10$ and you get 30ml. It is amazing!! Very light weight and smooth. It is 8% azelaic acid tho, very great for begginers but if you are used to using a 15% one then I don't think you will see significant results.
I have a prescription for azelaic acid from my dermatologist. $10, and a tube lasts 4-5 months. I use it on my arms for KP. I have discovered I prefer to use single ingredient products.
I just LOVE The ordinary azelaic acid, it makes my skin GLOW and skin is better than never. It really suits my skin type and it's just GREAT under my makeup!
I had to stop using the ordinary's azelaic acid. It piled like crazy the moment I tried to put anything else over it (like moisturizer or even SPF if I tried to use it in the daytime). It did get rid of the bumps on my cheeks and made my skin feel soft af though (did nothing with the bumps hiding underneath my forehead though). I seem to have the redness in rosacea and less of the acne part of rosacea though - but I'm still convinced the dimethicone base was not helping me at all.
I use the Ordinary's Azelaic Acid as well but I only use it at night and after I have moisturized to avoid any pilling - saw this suggested somewhere online and it works for me
I have roseaca to and a lot off products make it more horribel. I have now something in a gel form, got it from my doctors, because in the store i can not find it .. like your videos .i learn a lot from them
I tried all the non prescription azelaic acids and none have worked for my papulopustular rosacea. Then I switched to prescription 20% in a cream form and it worked ok but then it peels and feels gritty. So they switched me to a 15% gel version and omg what a difference. My face has now healed and I’ve been on it for 2 months. It never peels or feels gritty and it actually has worked faster then the 20% cream version which I was on for 5 months. So in my opinion people need to stop wasting their money on non prescription azelaic acids and just get a prescription 15% in gel form. Remember that all the studies that have been made on azelaic acid have been on prescription strength not over the counter. IMO.
Thanks for that info, especially about the gel. I still have 2 bottles of geek & gorgeous to go through, but I think I'll go for the rx afterwards. Will definitely request gel on your recommendation for my rosacea 👍
@@gategirl66 no problem. Glad I could help. Another tip is I apply the gel as soon as I’m done washing my face with a gentle cleanser while my face is still damp. I do this so it absorbs better into my skin. Make sure you moisturize afterwards.
I am using the ordinarys azelaic acid and I do like it but it does pill up when I put my sun screen on. I’m gonna try the Paula’s choice one next or the Dr Sam one. Loved the video x
I started azeleic acid from The Ordinary with my bedtime routine today and the website said not to combine it with a lot of things - direct AHAs/BHAs, retinoids, direct vitamin C, and more. Why is this? I can't find anything explaining it. My first guess would be that it's because a lot of those things are irritating and you don't want to combine irritating products, but azeleic acid isn't supposed to be irritating. By the way, I didn't notice any graininess, pilling, or odor. Updated formula, maybe.
It doesn't matter which seller you buy from on Amazon most of the time because it all comes from the same stock. Counterfeit items can be mixed in with authentic products and it's the luck of the draw if you get a real one
I appreciate your advice on these different products, but I find the Ordinary brand to be very good, as for the quality is very good then there's the feel it's not chalky it's silky. I am not saying it's the best, but it's definitely worth using also great value for money.
I actually love the feeling of The Ordinary Azeliac acid cream. I use so many oily serums my face gets shiny, so I use the Azeliac acid last, and it mattifies my skin. I think it’s a drying, but silky feeling on my face. I love it

Yeah, I use it on my nose as a way to stop the oil and keep it matt. And it feels so good that I won’t feel the itching feeling of oiling.
I agree. I use Paula's Choice before bed and the ordinary under my makeup.
This is my “silicone makeup primer” 😂
Do you use moisturizer after? I can't figure out if I'm supposed to or not since it's in the "treat" phase

cassandra thank you for introducing me to the ordinary azelaic acid 10% its done wonders for muy redness and evening out skintone !!! it melts into my skin like a pillow and its mattifying too!! i dont wear foundation so its a 100000/10 for me
Azelaic is a hit or miss.
I use the same product, available in France as well! I use it in the evening but I could totally use it in the morning, as it doesn't peel at all.
Same!! Refuse to use anything else
I LOVEEEEE naturium so much ❤ the retinaldehyde serum made my skin glow so I have to give this a try
Did you read my mind?cause I quite literally went to look through your past video for this exact type of video just YESTERDAY! Perfect timing. 👏👏👏
Azelaic acid from Facetheory 👌🏻 it is unbeatable. See more people recommending it here. The texture is just brilliant and it works perfectly.
I agree. It's funny she didn't mention that brand.
I use and also recommend Facetheory Lumizela A15 Seum, with 15% Adelaide acid with colloidal oat, aloe vera and green tea 😉 💙💚💙💚😻
wow this sounds so good
Just be cautious with this product if you have fungal acne
My dermatologist prescribed a compounded cream that's mostly azelaic acid. It's done wonders for my rosacea and also has helped with some hyperpigmentation from sun damage. . And yes, it's a little, tiny bit gritty.
And Cassandra, that top is an amazing color on you!
Would you mind sharing the name of the compound that he prescribed? I am quite desperate - a lot of burning pain.
The Naturium Azelaic Acid Emulsion has been working really well for me
This is my go to as well; I love it!
Cos de Baha has a really good azalaic acid serum that is a liquid and also has niacinimide. Just under $14,00 also.
Yes! I don't know why so many people don't know about this k-beauty brand that does actives.
i looooooove the paulas choice one! it's pricy but so worth it. i saw changes in my skin so quickly i love it
I think the ordinary is a fabulous, the texture is really good and not chalky at all, not sure why people keep saying that.
They've just come out with a new 12% formula - very nice!
From the budget options I actually prefer the Revox one to the The Ordinary one, it's gel so it's also nicer for the summer months.
The picture is very misleading, because the Ordinary product is actually very good.
Naturium's 10% azeleic acid emulsion has worked wonders for me in smoothing out my skin. Think it's about $16, and contains squalane so layers great between serums, tretinoin, and night cream :)
It has vitamin C though, so avoid using when you use anything with copper peptides.
@@puffsplus72 the 10% serum has vitamin c but the 10% emulsion does not
I keep wondering why no one ever talks about the Facetheory A15 Serum with 15% Azelaic Acid. It is formulated with proven ingredients. For me, it works great with most products, whether makeup or other skincare products. It's also cruelty-free. Here in Europe, you can get it over the counter, which is fantastic, I love it so much.
Isn't facetheory getting discontinued?
@@RachelDee Really?? Where did you get that info from?
@@jennybe4766 that’s not true idk what she’s talking about. I literally just ordered and corresponded with the company yesterday lol
@@RachelDee no lol
@@jennybe4766 I totally got it mixed up with something else
Hi , could you please try and provide your opinion for Eva naturals azelaic acid 10% and face theory azelaic acid 15%. I found these as more affordable.
Can you try Cos De Baha’s azelaic acid serum?
Great video but nothing will replace my FaceTheory azelaic serum it’s the best! It’s at 20% in the UK and it does wonders for my skin
Pretty sure they only had 15%
@@morgianasartre6709 ah yes my bad! It’s 10% in the US and 15% in the UK. Thanks
I've just discovered the Face Theory azelaic acid and it's sooooooo good! It's called Lumizela and it's awesome.
I just wear the ordinary one at night and I totally see the difference with my rosacea
What's the right amount?
I’m using the Revox B77 Azeliac Acid Serum and I love it. Plus it’s only $8. And it’s 10% without the silicone
Hi hun.. This is my favourite one too.. Love Revox at the moment.. Hope all is fab with you x
@@MadAboutSkin I think I got it from your Revox recommendation video 😘
I use the Ordinary's Azelaic Acid as well but I only use it at night and after I have moisturized to avoid any pilling - saw this suggested somewhere online and it works for me
Use it at night.
I use The ordinary and its good. So far no harm. It faded away my pimple marks and pigmentation
What do You think of Naturium’s Azelaic acid? Thanks Cass! From the Philippines here 💓✌🏻
Honestly at this point for me, I don’t care about the texture, I just want a product that will clear up my rosacea
@@bogim3980 hey I Have rosacea also, and currently having a major flare up. What’s your routine? What sunscreen do you use? Help a girl out please! :)
Recommend Facetheory’s azealic acid for UK peeps. It’s a really nice serum.
Also versed weekend glow brightening solution has azealic acid.
Wish facetheory's Lumizela azelaic acid serum was included in this list! It's my holy grail - has the most cosmetically appealing formula I've personally ever tried and also includes green tea, colloidal oat and aloe. Has done wonders for my rosacea, could not recommend enough!!!
I’ve wanted to try that one for so long but shipping to asia is too expensive :’)
Just got my magic bottle today so really excited for the future magic it supposed to do 😊
Thank you for mentioning if the RX ones can be used by pregnant/nursing women, i noticed a few of those mail RX companies won’t! I’ll check them out!
So the ordinary is great if you don't wear makeup over it?
It was about $15
Thanks for the suggestions! I use the Ordinary one actually and honestly don't have any issues with it :) Have a great day!
I like the Paula's Choice one best as it is so elegant, but it is expensive. I was never too fond of The Ordinary's Azelaic Acid due to the fact that it pills easily. Facetheory's Lumizela is great and has a lovey texture. It is available in 10% and 15% depending on local restrictions.
pills easily?
Do you think azelaic acid can help improve the skins texture?
I had high hopes for the TO azelaic acid but, as you said, it's gritty. It made me laugh when you said it could ball up/pill "a little bit" 'cause I hated that it pilled a helluva lot, so much so that I could only use it before bed. I'm using formulations from the Agency now. One has tretinoin .05% with 5% azelaic acid & another has 10% azelaic acid with kojic acid. They're not gritty at all & absolutely don't pill.
I’m using Skinoren, a derm prescribed 20% acelaic acid cream. Problem solved:)
Hi people
My knees and elbows are darker than my body my question is
Vitamin c
And
Alpha arbutin
Which one is good and help first ☺️
If you know more about that

Thanks 🥰😊
Q+A skincare!!! Their azelaic acid serum is under 10$ and you get 30ml. It is amazing!! Very light weight and smooth. It is 8% azelaic acid tho, very great for begginers but if you are used to using a 15% one then I don't think you will see significant results.
I have a prescription for azelaic acid from my dermatologist. $10, and a tube lasts 4-5 months. I use it on my arms for KP. I have discovered I prefer to use single ingredient products.
REN tonic is a very good TONIC. Never looked at it as an azelaic acid product.
You are awesome, so smart and I Looove your delivery. New fav. Thanks . 67 yrs old with rosacea and super vain. I need to look good!
I just LOVE The ordinary azelaic acid, it makes my skin GLOW and skin is better than never. It really suits my skin type and it's just GREAT under my makeup!
Oo nice!
I just use The Ordinary and only at night time. It’s pretty good. It is pretty grainy and the reason I only use it at night.
I love my Ren Glow Tonic, I have had great success with it. I found my skin would glow after using it.
Anyone suffering from rosacea oh god try the paula’s choice it’s the BEST product i’ve ever used for my skin
I have now something in a gel form, got it from my doctors, because in the store i can not find it .. like your videos .i learn a lot from them
naturium azelaic acid serum is a literal godsend for people who pick at their acne! it is too good for hyperpigmentation and inflammation
@@julissabido Thank you so much! 👍
Thank you so much❤️
Cassandra I would love to hear your opinion about Facetheory :) It also has azelaic acid serum . Sending lots of love from Greece
The Ordinary really worked for me. I loved how it feels on my skin. 🤷♀️
Hi cass. You really should try the face theory one. It’s a stunning product!
Why is it in the states if you go over 10% with Azelaic acid you need to go to a doctor and get a prescription....makes no sense
I mix equal amounts The Ordinary with Prem comfort me Essance I never have a pilling issue with my makeup and sunscreen
I am using the ordinarys azelaic acid and I do like it but it does pill up when I put my sun screen on.
I’m gonna try the Paula’s choice one next or the Dr Sam one. Loved the video x
Ever tried the Naturium Azelaic Topcal Acid 10% serum? It has a great feel and goes onto the skin so silky smooth!
I like The Ordinary Azelaic Acid much better than the Paula’s Choice one. The PC one burned.
Sesderma’s Azelac RU Serum, I know that you can only order it through an esthetician but it’s so good
It doesn't matter which seller you buy from on Amazon most of the time because it all comes from the same stock. Counterfeit items can be mixed in with authentic products and it's the luck of the draw if you get a real one
It's nice you take care of your dad ❤
I appreciate your advice on these different products, but I find the Ordinary brand to be very good, as for the quality is very good then there's the feel it's not chalky it's silky. I am not saying it's the best, but it's definitely worth using also great value for money.
I love dermatica. I have been using it around 6 months and it has been amazing!!
