The house next door is the lady who bought Marilyn’s house and is tearing it down. That’s why there is no fence. They are combining the properties.

Greed much. Geez 🙄 some people just don’t know when to quit. I really do pray for ghost to haunt those people who try to tear it down. I also pray they get way more trouble than what they bargained for. And pray they don’t get any respect from society!
I hope they don't tear down that beautiful and historic house. I've always wanted to go and visit it one day but I'm in Europe now. I hate those people who buy old houses and demolish them and build ugly, gigantic, disgusting houses that show their lack of taste and horrible display of money and nothing else. I hope the people and city council of LA do their best to prevent the current owners from destroying this iconic place. Why don't they just sell it to the people who will be happy to have it and know how to appreciate its value and keep it as it is?
It seems like the pic of MM is a photoshop because i know this photo of her standing like this but next to a different location. Taken by George Barris in 1962. Of course i want to thank you anyway for your video, you do a great job.
Yeah it's a photoshop. Marilyn never posed for photos outside of 5th Helena Drive.
Hey, Marilyn was photo-shopped standing at the front of the house. These aren't real images. She never took photos standing at her gate. The first photo is actually from a photo session by George Barris at a different house, and the other is an image of Marilyn leaving a hospital after gallbladder surgery. The photo of her in a white bathing suit was not taken in her yard. It was for a photo shoot at another location in 1953. Just FYI. That's why y'all were confused about the gate! 😊
That is exactly why I hate photoshopped historic photos you don't know what is real out there.. I appreciate the heads up..

Hi Spa Guy, I saw a news report a couple of months back where they said that the current owners of the house hadn't even seen the property but bought it anyway then put in all the paperwork to have it torn down. The local council and authorities then involved and decided to place a Preservation Order on the property issuing a statement to the effect that this property is too historic and will never be torn down. The owners are now challenging the authorities and I'm guessing that it will end up in court sooner than later. Great report Take Care

Rumor has it later owners found bugging device wires in the attic.

If i could have bought her house years ago i wouldn't have changed a thing. I would have just kept it maintained. It's sad that they want to tear these iconic places down. i believe I watched a video awhile back and they said this was her first and only house that she ever bought on her own. Poor lady.

The photos of Marilyn standing in front of the property are photoshopped. Sadly, there are no photos of her outside the house, only inside. The gurney photo was taken outside the funeral home rather than her home. There was a wall separating her property from the one next door but they now own her property and removed the wall to combine both properties.
And now the people who purchased it for 8.5 million want to raze it, bulldoze it to nothing, fortunately it was stopped last year, now the owners are suing for the right to take it down, so sad

How I missed this video I don'tknow. It must of been when my devices had seen better days and was searching for better ones. Thanks Mr. Spa Guy and Mr. Trey for this bit of Hollywood history. I was not a fan of Marilyn Monroe but interesting anyway. I was old enough to remember much about her. A shame if her former home gets torn down. I can't imagine a home costing that much or more. I could think of better things to spend money like that on, lol. First, if spending that kind of money on a home it sure wouldn't be in corrupted crime filled Communist California...Los Angeles !!

If they can afford to buy a house for 8million dollars just to tear it down , then they can afford to have it taken apart brick by brick and put It in a place that can be viewed and visited by people that actually care about the property. Just wait they’ll start selling the roof tiles individually for hundreds of dollars each

With so many fans visiting this property I can completely understand why the new owners would want to demolish it.
I mean, just put yourself in their place for a minute and imagine driving up to your house and there are strangers taking photos of your fence. Or, you're in your yard, relaxing by the pool with family/friends, and suddenly someone's drone hovers overhead. And you know the intrusions will never end, because people will forever see this house - your private house - as HER house.
So, while I understand people's love and fascination with Marilyn (hence why I'm watching this video), I also understand why the new owners want to get rid it.
I would say if you don't want people to be attracted to your property don't buy a property previously owned by a famous person. There are 1000's of other properties..
So deeply saddened that they may destroy her home it either should be left or maybe moved somewhere.

The photo of her in front of the house is actually photoshopped. The original photo is by George Barris and she is leaning against something else, not in front of her house. There are actually no photos of her in front of her gate (that haven’t been photoshopped).

Thank you Spa Guy and Trey for showing the house where Marilyn Monroe lived. I read a very detailed book with a lot of investigation by the writer, who stated that she was happy at the time of her death, she had just bought some furniture for her new house and was talking about her engagement to the sales lady, she was exited to marry Joe DiMaggio for the second time. I believe what the writer concluded that her death was an accident because she had a second doctor called in and he didn't check what her other medication was which she already took so she had an accidental overdose. It was of course very strange with the housekeeper washing her sheets early in the morning, the washing machine was apparently running when the police arrived like evidence was being washed away. She was an icon that's for sure.

Your efforts and video would be more entertaining if you insert a proper photo then holding your screenshot phone to camera
If you watch my videos long enough you will find I usually do that when it makes the scene better in this case I did not feel that it did but also found out that photo was photoshopped not even real..

When people buy an icon's home.....You can expect people to be angry and upset if you want to tear it down. It should have been declared a National Treasure years ago. Making it impossible to tear it down and kept to the iconic stature it was created. The man who designed it was also a famous architect. Another reason to keep it as it was. If you buy a property belonging to a celebrity of Marilyn Monroe's stature you'd think you'd want to keep the iconic structure. Like everything else in LA, it's disposable. 😢😢😢 It's all very sad. They just want to build some ugly modern piece of junk. No surprise there!

Everyone don't worry. The people who live their now loved Marilyn. The lady bears a striking resemblance to her and I believe she has her own channel. After watching this video unless something has changed that I don't know about. It has been a while since I saw her channel so I don't know if they had since sold it. I hope not. :(
