I realize I said "Third Partied" alot in this video when thats not at all what the scenario was named 😂 What I mainly meant by Third Party is getting attacked while doing a task
For anyone who wants to up their game even more, here's what i can add. 1. Movement The most essential part of zero build is movement, so make sure you have at least 2 movement items. Shockwaves are the undisputed king of movement, hence why they stick around while other items come and go. You can buy shockwaves from certain npcs. Just check the characters screen to see where they're at. Also, if you sacrifice an air sprite to a shrine, you are guaranteed 4 shockwaves. Dancing at Mariah Carey also gives a good chance of getting shockwaves but its not guaranteed like the other 2 methods (and this will probably be removed from the game by the time most people are reading this). There are certain situations where you need to get the hell out of there or die. A combination of shockwaves and void mask is the only way to accomplish this without a car (if you need to travel 300m in 15 seconds). Shockwave once or twice, then void mask away, this creates enough distance to escape those super dangerous situations. I personally take all 3 movement items, shockwaves, void mask and blade. Blade doubles as a close range weapon. Very debatebly, I dont use a shotgun this season. The goal is to always keep a distance between you and your enemies so you can beam them with the holo. If absolutely necessary, I use blade up close or use the blade/ shockwaves to recreate distance and use the holo. A lot of people will disagree with not using a shotgun, but it's so darn easy to create/maintain distance this season that it's really not needed. If you want to use a shotgun, that's fine too, im just sharing what works for me. 2. Cars I understand this video is aimed at beginners, so he didn't get into the nitty gritty of car play (He's a super cool guy but respectfully i doubt he knows all the techniques that can be used with cars) but there is so so so much to know about cars that can really take your game to the next level. Inteligent car usage is what separates the wheat from the chaff in zero build. First of all, the pickaxe "glitch", as it is commonly known should not be overlooked and is definitely worth discussing. This can give you a huge advantage, but knowing what to do next is also crucial to winning the fight. If you dont know how to do the pickaxe glitch, type prospering pickaxe glitch on youtube and learn from the GOAT. So you have done the pickaxe glitch, you've inflicted some damage, your enemy has noticed and exited the vehicle. What do you do now? You have 2 options, if safe to do so, exit the vehicle and shoot the enemy (may be very dangerous). Second option, switch seats and drive the car, then one of two things will happen. The enemy will get in the car, or they won't. 1 If they get in the car, its game over, drive a little bit, pull over and beam them straight through the window, NOBODY EVER EXPECTS THIS, IT HAS AN EXTREMELY HIGH SUCCESS RATE. This is what you should always do when you have a passenger in your car, pull over, and shoot through the driver window into the passenger seat. 2 If they do not get back in the car, drive the car away a little to create reasonable distance, park with the passenger side facing the enemy so when you exit you are not exposed, use the car as cover, peak and kill the enemy. Using the car as cover As i just said, facing the passenger side towards the enemy is a habit you NEED to get into. Think of your car as your own personal shield. Use it as such. Find the right angle to peak over the car so only your head is showing, making it very hard to get shot. If you are in a car with an enemy driving and you havent been able to pull off the pickaxe glitch, you can either jump out if possible and reattempt the pickaxe glitch (usually only possible if the car is stationary or moving very slow, although it appears keyboard and mouse players can pull this off with a moving car) or shoot the car to force the driver to exit then use one of the previously mentioned tactics. If you can master these car plays, you will be almost unkillable if you have a vehicle. Never take a motorbike unless you have to, get rid of it as soon as possible, and take a car. Be aware of third parties and be the third party when possible. Know when to take fights and when not. This takes some time to get down, but running away now might mean you win the game later. Void mask is super useful in a way we've never had before. You can park your car behind cover, out of sight, throw a void next to it, run and get your friends reboot card for example then void back to the car. Also super useful for the island, park the car by the wind sprite, throw down the void then when you're finished on the island (or more likely when you get third partied) quickly teleport back to the car. This has so many uses, so make sure you get the most out of it! Portabunkers should not be overlooked. At least one person on your team should have them. If you are playing solo, consider the final circle and see if its worth you taking them. If the final circle is an open field, then you will be screwed without them. If there are plenty of buildings, then you may be fine without them. Water boon, massively op, make sure you get it. Can be obtained from an elemental chest or sacrificing a water sprite to a shrine. Many build players hate zero build because they have tried it and realised they are not intelligent enough to play well. You have to be very intelligent to be a succesful ZB player, always thinking where is the cover if i need it, how do i get out of this situation if the need arises, its not as simple as throwing up a wall. Always be thinking of your location and surroundings. Always take cover, preferably behind unbreakable obstacles (preferable but certainly not essential), and always know where your next piece of cover is and the one after that. You really have to be 2 steps ahead. Speaking of unbreakable obstacles, a lot of times, you will be hiding behind a rock or a tree, and the enemy will wait for you to peak. Why? These objects are breakable. Shoot the tree/rock out, make them panic, make them have to rotate to and find new cover, giving you time to beam them. This is something so so simple but yet not a lot of people do it. Side note, if they are hiding behind the tree keep in mind you might be able to shoot further up the trunk of the tree so you can shoot it out without the enemy even being able to see you. ZB IS ALL ABOUT ANGLES. Watch very talented ZB players and take notes on what they do. You can get a lot of tips just by watching a pro streamer for 30 minutes. NUMBER 1 TIP TO IMPROVE! Every time you die, you need to reflect and analyse, why did i die, what could i have done better? Sometimes, this is as easy as having a conversation with yourself in your head and concluding the correct play. Other times, it's not so simple. It can be difficult to identify what you could have done better. In these cases, I highly suggest you record your gameplay (very easy to capture the last 1 3 5, etc, minutes on ps5, not sure about other platforms) watch it, rewatch it, rerewatch it and figure out what you should have done. If you do one of these 2 things for every death, you are going to see significant improvement over time. Great video by the way! You are a super likeable guy. I just feel a lot of people will have clicked on this video to get advanced tips to take their game to the next level, and will feel they haven't really got that, so this is for them!
