Bach actually wrote this and threw it out, saying it just sounded trite no matter how perfectly structured he made it. Later he pulled it out of the trash and said, “wait, let me try this in negative harmony”. Et voila, the masterpiece we now love so dearly emerged from the failed experiment.
Dion's Tune negative harmony seems to make dark songs sound bright and bright songs sound dark. Check out the negative harmony version of smells like teen spirit.
If I understand negative harmony correctly, a major scale (as a pitch set) maps to the minor scale: C -> G D -> F E -> Eb F -> D G -> C A -> Bb B -> Ab
1:00 Sounds like the harpsichord solo from The Beatles - Piggies! The first ones to use the negative harmony of something then include it in their music? ,:)
Today I learnt that a diminished chord in a negative harmony cover is still a diminished chord.
An augmented is also.
This sounds like It could be in the soundtrack for a Castlevania Game on Gameboy xD
Nah, Castlevania is much more melodic.
The visuals really help you spot the symmetry and help you figure out the voicing. Negative harmony takes the piece to a whole other level. Brilliant
Cool stuff!!! Unearthly sounding! Please go on doing this excellent job!

Is that true? I did not know this.
I love counterpoint.
Apparently the song was originally written with a dark sounding tune, negative harmony made it brighter somehow 😂

To me this sounds more bittersweet, and slightly insane. Not so much bright...

It sounds so odd, but there are some really nice melodies present.
1:24 Sounds like some sort of jazz lick.
Shouldn't Don Knotts be making his way up the spiral staircase at some point?
2:11 Tubular Bells?
Sounds like the band Yes
the fast parts sound like liszt for some reason.
Sounds like if Bach was dumb
Nice lucasarts music
