  • DIYS ARE BACK!!!
    Thank you for everyone who still sticks around and watches my videos! Just working on getting back into a routine here on my channel. So why not start with something that I think you guys are really going to like, like this super blinged out full length mirror..
    this project is very easy but just a little time-consuming. I would recommend doing this when you have a couple of hours of free time. Most of the time for this project is dedicated to allow everything to dry. But anyway you guys will see everything and thank you again for checking my videos out!
    if you are a company that wants to work together or review a product make sure to leave me an email at the address below

    For any future DIYers. I discovered that Modge Podge works better for the crushed glass to prevent any shards of glasses from "shedding" off your mirror and also makes the glass a lot smoother in case you accidently run your hand across it. Add the Modge Podge first as she did with the expoxy, then apply Modge Podge (Gloss formula) to the top of the crushed glass.

    The finished product is beautiful! Tip: 1. Use a hair dryer to easily remove labels and rubbing alcohol to remove sticky residue; 2. Rather than using so much tape on the glass, place paper in the center and then tape to the mirror along the edges.

    • @alw470
      @alw470 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Thinking out loud...
      If tape is used to cover the mirror how can the crushed glass be added to the edge..??
      How about a piece of newspaper folded to fit OVER ONLY the mirror with about a .5" (half inch) allowance from the frame edge which can then be attached TO the mirror with painters tape..then just remove the tape AND newspaper after it is completely dry..

      Thank you. The goal was to make the project look as expensive as possible but spending on fraction or less of the cost. You can literally use crushed glass and glitter on anything and it will look way more expensive and high-quality. And the best part is you can customize it to your liking so you get exactly what you want every time. Thanks for watching

    I have to tell you it is hard to find good DIY’s, because lately some people just Do Half assed job. (Excuse my language!)You are amazing and I love how you put the extra details in the project! I understand how people want to save money and use certain Materials. For instance, how you used the epoxy instead of mod podge, Wonderful idea! And it looks very professional! I look forward to seeing more of your projects! Have you ever thought about doing an elegant chandelier? I am working on one with a drum lampshade. 💎

    • @BoujeeHustlaTV
      @BoujeeHustlaTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Kristy Lynn Hinton Wow what a comment LOL I appreciate that. I’m not really one for doing what’s popular for most to do when it comes to quality ya know. Like I don’t want people to come to my house and things look like it’s a DIY project. I want people to question if it’s something I bought or if it’s something I made LOL As for the chandelier no I have not thought about making one but that definitely would be something I’m interested in because my dining area could use a little pizzazz LOL

    • @kristylynnhinton6444
      @kristylynnhinton6444 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dose Of Glamm I agree with you on if people come to your house and ask where you got it, because it does not look like you made it. It’s a really really good feeling! I am an artist and if I go to the store and see things that I like, the first thing I do is see how my it is... 😵 because my taste is $$$, , then I think ....how can I make that… Because I know it can be done. But I like how you thought outside the box is the epoxy I will go to a craft store and spend all dayin there! Because i just gets so many ideas! And most of the time it’s not about the money, it’s the challenge! Are you in a small town? Or a city… Just want you to know that you are my favorite DIYer as of right now!😉

      Vaeh McBeth That’s definitely a good idea someone also suggested using water down mod podge to seal it in and I definitely tried that and it also worked pretty good too but I think the resident will probably look better but in case you don’t want to deal with two toxic of a chemical mod podge will also work. These are all tips suggested by you guys after I did these videos so I really appreciate it for future ones that I do.

    Put oil on the labels like coconut, olive, vegetable oil, or even in a pinch baby oil. It helps remove the labels. You can use also a magic eraser.

    You could have also used modge podge to seal glass so it will prevent cuts.
