Thank you Wayne and the Gettysburg Foundation for these videos. My wife and I were in Gettysburg this past week and walked the entire West Cemetery Hill that was featured in this video. Two weeks ago, we walked Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus, OH. as we watched Wayne’s video on that. We love it! Keep up the great work.
Great explanation of the participants and locations of the units. It’s difficult to imagine the actions in that area. Your detailed explanation of what was and wasn’t there at the time of the battle was super duper!
Great Wayne - Thanks! My wife & I are 'Friends' and enjoy visiting when we can. Ironically, we were biking the battlefield last weekend and were on Queen Street. We have also stayed in the Welty house on a previous trip. Your walk really connected the dots for me.
Excellent video, Wayne ! I have a much much better idea of the fighting that went on in the skirmish line. Something I was never able to put together on my own thanks.
Suggestions for some "walks" in the fall - (1) Skirmish line activity of the 2nd Corps west of the Emmitsburg Road (not just the "Bliss Farm"); (2) Skirmish line activity of the 3rd Corps west of the Emmitsburg Road (not just the Berdan's Sharpshooters); (3) A walk from the Alabama Monument, Bushman's Hill, Plum Run / Devil's Den & Kitchen and Big Round Top - including the "split" of the Brigade; (4) A walk from the Texas Monument, Plum Run / Devil's Den & Kitchen and Little Round Top - including the "split" of the Brigade;- from (5) Wilcox & Lang Brigades on July 2 from Spangler's Woods to Plum Run; (6) Confederate skirmish line activity on July 3 west of the Emmitsburg Road prior and including "Pickett's" Charge; (7) 26th North Carolina (or Pettigrew's Brigade) from Herr Ridge over Willoughby Run (thru the Golf Course!);
I love these Walking Wednesdays with Wayne. He's the best.
I love these . Thank you Wayne Motts and the Gettysburg Foundation.... It gets Gettysburg closer for us so far away

Awesome presentation! Mahalo, Wayne.
Oh god I love Wayne Motts. What a national treasure
Pretty amazing. You can walk and drive through these areas and never know the fighting that occurred there.
Loved every second of this video. Fabulously entertaining!
This was PACKED with information I had to open my map to keep it all straight. Great stuff, as usual!
Excellent job Wayne - keep it up!

Outstanding video Wayne. I’ve never studied this section of the battlefield in this level of detail . This really helps a lot.
That was really cool Wayne. New perspective. Thanks.
I love these videos. I've learned so much. Having great debates . Even winning some 😅😅 Please keep them coming.
I never had a good understanding of this portion of the battlefield. Thank you very much for a very clear and interesting program.

Has anyone ever figured out where Meades HQ was during the 4-6?
See Page 225 of William Frassanito's Early Photography at Gettysburg. He discusses this and has images.

Wow I really learned a lot from this video. Wayne, where exactly did the 16th Maine under Charles Tilden make their stand on July 1st?
This is at Oak Ridge First Day Fight near the RR CUT
I wish I had a pizza from Tommy's.
