All singlewides should have this design. So much space with this layout. Much more light and more modern. Breaks down the bad rep that single wides get. Such a beautiful home. Thanks Chance.
Here is the thing. Mobile home are built at a fraction of cost of regular homes even the very nice ones. Worked and have family and friends that , between us all, work for two different manufacturers. They were first designed so lower income families could have a “home” without great expense. Now here they are costing as much as foundational homes. Believe me even the expensive ones are built quickly and other than fine finishes that make them look really nice. It is still a mobile or modular home.
You are right, they are mobile homes and when you buy one it’s not treated as a real house. After so many years, if you try to sell it, no mortgage lender or bank will finance an older one! Trust me, if buy one you are stuck with it. Do t believe me, ask people that are trying to sell their mobile home that is over 10 yrs old. They cant sell unless the buyer pays cash cause you can’t get a mortgage on a trailer
Not a bad setup. The various areas are very spacious. I like the fact there is an option for complete drywall throughout. Thanks Chance. Another great tour.
I really like how the living room area is so "homey" it just invites you right in and looks very nice! And the bedrooms are a very decent size. That was a nice surprise! Thnx Chance!
It's always a nice touch when they do a separate laundry area in a single. I love it when they do a shower/tub combo as well. This was a nice one, Chance. 💜
We need more affordable housing!! This may be the start with this modern home!! Very inviting and really pretty!! It has lots or room, spacious, and artistry!! This can be a good idea for a growing family!! Chance?? You did it again!!❤😊
@@janetmarshall7171 Yes I agree more affordable housing!! But even a $75,000 mobile home with that including set up, with good credit & a good deposit is still $1200 a month. And for a single income person or person on a fixed income, that is at least over half if not more than they make monthly. Home prices are simply ridiculous, period. Just 20 yrs ago a home I was looking at, an older home (those built to last, like older mill area homes) plenty of room on an acre and half of land, 3 bedroom, 2 bath home was $65,000. That same home today with only a new paint job is up for sale, $200,000! And it’s 20yrs older! A system needs to be put into place where they take that persons income, add up all living expenses required(power, water, home insurance, car payments +insurance, gas, medical insurance cost, an average food cost monthly according to # of persons, phone & internet) then come up with a reasonable monthly payment that person could comfortable make. But I know that is just dream thinking because the main point for everyone is making a huge profit. I would exempt the very wealthy because most of them do not worry over costs anyway, they see something they like or want they purchase. This would be for middle & especially lower income families or persons. I know will never happen but I can dream, lol. Blessings🕊️
We need to start with the root of the problem which is cities banning any form of affordable housing. Builders aren't allowed to build cheap apartments, individuals can't place a mobile home anywhere in city limits, etc. THAT is why there is such a housing crisis. I live in Massachusetts and they keep touting all the "housing" they've been building. They neglect to mention that it's all luxury apartments that rent for $3k a month and up.
Since there isn’t a walk-in pantry, the mfg might consider a stackable washer & dryer area. That way part of the utility room could be used as a pantry.
Just a few things I would change. I don't need two sinks in bathroom, or a garden tub .I have not used my garden tub in over 15 years, and then I only used it once. I don't like the water heater in the closet. When I had to replace my water heater almost everything had to come out of the closet. It was a mess. It would be nice to have to air vents in the ceiling to keep things from dropping down in them. The vent on the floor are a pain. You have to watch where you put thing so you don't cover up the vents. (or drop things in them). A pantry would be nice. I have lived in a mobile home for years and items I listed above are thing that I change. To me the price is high. I have a 3 bedroom double wide and all the bedrooms have big walk in closets. Brand new 20 years ago it was only $40,000. Man, mobile homes have really gone up in price.
Beautiful home. Love that the Bible is in there. Another great home tour Chance. They have really come up with some great floor plans. Miss you saying utility room.😅.. I also love that you show more expensive models but also more affordable ones as well. Love the selection you show.
Started off nice. Love the living room, the kitchen has plenty of cabinets, the laundry space is really small and cramped, the bedrooms are a nice size, but the closet in the master bedroom is small and in the bathroom- that’s a no no. The biggest peeve I have with the house is the vents are in the floor. I can’t stand the vents in the floor.
I read and listen to comments about all kinds of homes and I would Love to have a little home of my own. I've been renting the same trailer for 16 years it's all I can afford. I was working toward a better place then it fell aparzt in September 2021. Now I'm disabled and My disability Is $923.00 a month and My rent is half.
Clayton Anniversary 76 is like this with the closet opening in the bedroom. ;) It’s a nice SW model (has a dining room area, pantry and laundry-smaller 3rd bedroom, but it’s a great SW layout).
Always like all bathrooms with some kind of a window! I would take down the bar area for a place to put the kitchen table. I'm not a fan of cheap looking beams in a home. Might add a door in the bedroom to go in the closet there, too. Thanks for showing! Of course complete drywall and crown moulding is a must!
Love this mobile home!! Best singlewide I have seen in awhile. I am in need of a home badly. My 1988 mobile home floors are buckling and leaky roof because it has been moved at least 3x. Waiting on housing prices to stabilize at little before purchasing but this one looks promising. Thanks Chance and always a good sign to see the Good Book displayed!❤❤❤
LOVE the slightly bigger living room in this one! I wouldn't feel so crammed in there like a lot of single wides. I love the separate laundry room and the tub in the master bath.
The kitchen looks nice and it's got a lot of floor space, but I'd rather have more cabinetry for storage plus a pantry. I'd opt for a closet over the tub as you can never have too many closets or storage space. I do like the laundry room being separate with a door you can close to muffle the sound. I really like the warm inviting feeling it has when you enter the living room. That fireplace adds charm, and those windows flanking each side really elevate the look. More windows are always better, just like closets.
I really enjoy your videos, Chance. I remember going to the factory when my parents picked out their carpets and made any changes they wanted. That was in 1976, and they paid a little over $17000 for a two bedroom 2 bath double wide! The manufacturer was House of Merrit (Merritt?) in central Florida. It was really interesting to see how they are made, especially for a 12 yr old!
I really liked this layout. If I was in the market for a home like this, there isn't anything I would change other than to have sheetrock and move the door of the master bedroom closet out of the bathroom.
Beautiful home and great job on the video 👍I live in Illinois and own my mobile home on a private lot which I own also but I like watching your videos to see how the other half lives lol great job on the video thank you 👍
Oh that's lovely with a couple of adjustments I'd live in that, furniture as well. I wouldn't want the bath, and definitely have the sheet rock. It makes a whole lot of difference to me.
The Three bedrooms are better for families, which still are the majority of households. Though you can make 2 bedrooms work well for most families by sticking 2 adults in one bedroom and up to 3 children in the other.
@@Libertaro-i2u it would just be nice to see a two bed with the same amount of square foot for smaller families or people like me that are a couple but need a spare bedroom. We see either 3 bed and above or Tiny homes, nothing in between.
I got as far as the floorplan before I wanted to make changes. Put front door going into kitchen instead of the window there. And second, put the door to the optional second bedroom right at the hallway to the bathroom. Then it becomes a second main suite.
Nice living room and kitchen. Thanks for mentioning about possibly moving closet door in master bath to bedroom, although master closet is very small. Why are there no towel racks in the bathrooms? I'm downsizing to a single wide. Thanks for the video. God bless.
Love this one! My only change would be to have the closet going in from bedroom. Yes, closet in bathroom is yucky! Is this a 16 wide? Sure looks like it. Nicely planned out. ❤️
I have to have Professionally finished &painted walls for true full time living now if this is just a guest house or weekend retreat I would leave the camping trailer walls as they come
Excellent design. Thanks Chance for showing a single wide. Enjoying my single the past 18 years that is very close to this one. It is encouraging to see the prices listed and know the resale value for me has continued to rise.
It's a beautiful home. I don't like the cabinets over the toilet, wood beams and the closet in the bathroom. I love the fact it doesn't have carpet. #NICE🥰
I like all of it being a single person except for the fact that the closet in the master bedroom is so small. Wish they could find somewhere else to put that hot water heater would help. And I looked at the plan for the two bedroom model of this which has a massive closet in the bedroom at the other end. But it would certainly be nice to have a three-bedroom one as you show. So the smaller of the rooms could be in office and the other as a guest bedroom. I do wish there was a linen closet somewhere.
Very nice looking, well appointed, and affordable home. I would hope they could place that floor vent in the kitchen soemwhere else. It might be a toe stubber :-) Thanks!

Where do you live that someone can build a stick frame house for $100k, cuz I’ll move there.
Modular homes have different standards were they have to travel with it. Manufactured homes are not like years ago. Some are very expensive
