Moving in is always chaotic, so please don’t worry and I thought you did great!! Hope you are both happy in your new home, you have plenty of time to make it how you want it. ❤
Your new home is going to be so beautiful. Don’t stress, take your time as you have all the time in the world. How good is Mitchell, those wardrobes look amazing and he did them so quickly. Looking forward to watching how you decorate and turn your new house into your forever home x
Take your time and don't get stressed. It's your new home and you have all the time in the world now to unpack and sort! Just unpack the stuff that you need immediately (the essentials). Enjoy! xxxx
You are doing so well Laura, how handy that Mitchell is a carpenter! Don't worry about getting it perfect as if you are anything like me you will change it all around a few times yet. The house is gorgeous, I can tell you are both going to be really happy there xx
Aaaaahhh ❤ well done to you all 👏👏, we understand Laura and Mitchell, take your time, get a feel of the new home 🏡, it take a while to settle in!! We've all been there, your brave to be vlogging it all for us .🙏 Thank you.😊
You are right move in and see how you both feel about what you want in each room.your two couches my look really lovely in your family room in the kitchen.👍🥰
Bless you Laura xx Congratulations 🍾 🥂 Hopefully your in your New Home for years to come so take your time....there's NO RUSH !!! Do the rooms you'll need more & pile the boxes in a room. You can go back to that room when your ready x Please don't be embarrassed & overwhelmed xx I moved 6 yrs ago & I WANTED it all done in a week ....don't it's all changed as I didn't like the rush job 🫤 TAKE IT STEADY XX Your doing a GREAT JOB Both of you xx Great job of your wardrobe 👏 👌 Sending hugs 🤗
You’re putting yourself under so much pressure to have everything perfect , just take your time and make the right decisions. It all looks amazing but don’t stress yourself out xxx
Congrats on the new house. Take your time in doing things. Use your kitchen for a week before you organise it, then you’ll know what items you want in each cupboard. Then sort your bedroom out. These two rooms you’ll use the most. Then after that, concentrate on the lounge and where you want things.Don’t rush as you’ll buy things then, won’t use them or like them ( that’s a waste of money) take your time and enjoy the process. 😍
I only moved six months ago. The cat settled in immediately and I said the same thing about being able to smell the furniture. She actually seems more happy now than she did in our previous house!!
I’d put a vanity unit on that wall across from your wardrobes, look at that natural light coming in -it’ll be so nice either that, get the ikea lack wall shelves for your bags and perfumes x
It’s a lovely home Laura . I would get Mitchell to section off part of the garage for your decor, candles and vases . Utility cupboard for medicine cabinet and extra food storage as I guarantee there is never enough storage for food items . I hope you will enjoy exploring your new area ..
Laura, you're doing really well organising yours & Mitchell's new home. It takes time & is sooooo overwhelming at first, but you'll get there. Just a little thought about your wardrobe room. You said your not sure about the black mirror could you not paint the surround 😊
Hi hope you had a lovely holiday, now back to your beautiful new home, we move every 2 yrs, long story, keep saying it's last time as it's exhausting, got my small operation tomorrow, really worrying tonight ❤❤
Home is so stunning! You could do a side board somewhere in the kitchen / dining area you can put the “shit drawers” I have one in my living room with a vase and mirror on; has all the bits and pieces in that don’t have another home. Dinner party wear, medications, batteries etc xx
I think you’re doing bloody good my love. Doesn’t look as bad as what you think. Write a list of what you want done in each room and tick it off as you go along. Do all the easy jobs first. Under the sink you can get an Addis shelving thing to go underneath think b&m do them or Amazon. You can make it as big or small as you like around the pipes. I’m sure by the time we see the next vlog you’ve done loads more. There’s no rush, I know you want it all in its place but don’t stress about it, Rome wasn’t built in a day. And the wardrobes if further down the line you want doors you can get the wood effect doors that you spoke about, you can change the top of your dressing table to wood effect to. Live with things for a while and go from there. Have a good rest of the week and weekend. Xx
I recognise your style of house - I moved into a Davidson's House last July, although a different style to yours. I moved from a large house in rural Norfolk to a smaller house following the death of my partner. I radically reduced the amount of stuff that I had. I treated moving like a military manoeuvre, labelling boxes carefully with content and which rooms to put them in during the move. This worked brilliantly.there was nothing in the wrong room and I had the kitchen and living room sorted at the end of moving day while the removal men were 're-constructingng beds. My suggestion is to move any boxes that don't belong downstairs to a spare room upstairs. if you don't know what's in the boxes can I suggest you take a peek and write it on the outside of the boxes? I hope you enjoy your new home - they are lovely houses.
ahh loving all the moving vlogs! your house is stunning, can’t wait to see it fully furnished & decorated nearer to the seasons 🎃🎄 so happy for you both xxxxx
Laura for the spare down stairs room hear me out… a cat play room 🥹 could have their litter box in there to keep it out of the way, some toys and a cat tree to be on neighbour hood patrol 😅
I would make that small room an entry-walk in closet/storage since its right next to front door. For jackets, shoes etc. A fitted storage wall with space for your candles and other things that doesnt really belong in kitchen, laundryroom or bedroom as well. But that is a very swedish use if the room. 😊
Re : Wardrobes i would put doors on I know loads of people who have said they like the no doors only to add them months later, keeps the dust out i guess., don't forget to check first aid items dates but you did get it all in 🙂
A pretty similar set up to shein I believe - forced labour for workers & also read they have been known to breach data protection with your details! Xx
