How can you put ddr3 1600Mhz ram in that laptop when the processor only supports DDR3 800/1066. I have same cpu in my old laptop i want upgrade it little bit change ram from 4 to 8gb and change ssd from 250Gb to 500 or 640gb.
The RAM frequency will drop to the maximum supported by the CPU, it doesent matter that the RAM can run at a higher frequency. Keep in mind that this cpu can only support 4GB RAM modules (2x4GB at max) Check the affiliate links in the video description and subscribe, thanks :)

Where did you find the BIOS update? Acer website doesn't show any BIOS version for this laptop.
Bios was updated a long time ago. Try to find somewhere on www
