I always say that when a married man "hits on you" it is NOT flattering, a compliment, or anything positive. Because what he is really saying to you is, "I can only offer you a piece of me and I think you are (broken, weak, damaged.....etc) enough to accept it."

Laterrias, I never comment but I have to applaud Danai for her transparency. A man telling you that you’re good enough to have his babies but not good enough to be his wife is a slap in the face. As you said, that’s just confusion and the God we serve does not operate in confusion. Praying that Danai is blessed with a Godly man that is worthy of her heart 💕

When you have followed all of the rules, had pure intentions, consulted God, checked off all of the boxes and you still get hurt!!!! It’s devastating. I’m still learning how to guard my heart without shutting potential partners down completely. I think this was a great reminder that it's important to pay attention to what's actually happening versus the prophecy you may believe is falling on alignment with what "God is telling you". Sometimes we(women) can feel or think we feel something and it's really not God's will no matter how good our discernment might be. I really appreciate the transparency because we get hurt or put in harm's way even when we're trying to do right as she mentioned. People are human and will make mistakes, but guarding our hearts will prevent so much heartache. ♥️

This episode took a turn I did not expect! I thought this was going to be the typical “Guard your heart cuz folks out here are playing games and you don’t wanna get got”, but to address this in the scenario of being in love with someone who is in love with you but is unavailable/unhealthy is SO important! I thank you SO much for your transparency! This is exactly what I needed because I went through something highly similar with someone who just became my ex, so many nuggets and while I will always appreciate and cherish the fact that we were in love, it also is a testament to show that you can’t just be in love, you have to be healthy and whole enough to make good despite and stand on them. Without that, love will not last-it cannot last. Being in love doesn’t mean you’re with someone who will know how to be a healthy partner for the long haul. I had to learn that guarding your heart also means not allowing your feelings to get in the way of doing what’s right by others and yourself. Thank you Danai! ♥️

The main take away I am getting from this and I really hope everyone get it too is this. Guard your heart. Going back to the title of this episode. Guard it! Let's dig a little deeper about the heart. Really understand where you are. If you're vulnerable, desperate, horny...etc. Those are the issues you will be dealing with. We always connect guarding your heart with external things. Never the things with in us. This is where the issues dwell. "The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?" Jeremiah 17:9

Guard our heart & mind, as the mind can create a whole illusion of false reality based on what we believe to be true. Much respect for the openness & transparency your guest Danai shared as there is always value in a person's experiences. The wisdom is always found in the lesson. "Give what you are hoping to receive", great message & that takes faith. I pray your guest finds the one God has equally yoked for her as she walks in her purpose. The letter was poetic & so well versed. May you both find the desires of your heart. Another great podcast. It was so important you mentioned what is the woman's role in partaking in an affair, as the accountability is on both parties. Well said. Also, emotional affairs happen in the mind before the physical act itself. Our thoughts create our reality.

By far one of THE BEST people you've had on your podcast. I can so relate to everything this woman said. Her truth and honesty and her transparency is truly truly appreciated. God bless this woman God has so much great things in store for her and I'm believing for my miracles as well. I so thank you for having a podcast like this it's truly special ❤️

Danai thank you for your transparency, your truth, and your integrity. I do believe as a woman it is my duty to hold a man responsible and I do understand that a lot of us women did not have anyone to coach us as we were growing up and unfortunately we’ve stub our toes over and maybe over again before getting the lesson. Thanks to Leterras for this platform and for all the life lessons it has provided. ❤️

This gets better with each new episode.
Genuinely, I think all this information should be collated from every episode starting at season one and put into a book or something. Imagine these principles being taught in schools or parents using them to guide their children. There's a lot of wealth here. Praise God and thank you for letting Him use you as His vessels.
    God bless ❤️

This episode was such a GOD MOVEMENT. The exposed beauty of this content was such a breath of fresh air for me. I am breathing clearer now. Being honest with yourself through a hurt, a process, and a journey while staying the course, even if it takes time, is courageous. She went through this to be a beacon of hope for other women and Men as well. Thank you Laterras for your continued transparency and focus on this mission. I appreciate you!

Danai is a beautiful name. Know one could have delivered this message like you. You’re personality and transparency was well received. The older I get ; the more I understand women. Being married is a human experience we only get once. I’m learning so much from this podcast. And my healing has helped me look at women totally different. Thank so much for sharing your journey Danai.

Thank you Kintu. The name “Danai” actually means “to love one another,” or “go ahead and love one another.” It’s a Shona name from the people of Zimbabwe. God bless you on your journey … and bless your marriage. Never stop learning and growing!

@@blackmarriagemovement1812 I am so happy to have bumped into this video today Danai and coming from A Zimbabwean like me. I was asking myself, Ndezverudzi here? You told the same experienceas mine to the T. I had the 4am calls, showing up at my gate at night drunk few days after his wedding telling me he made a mistake. But in our culture you know what we go through till we walk down the aisle.. I called it BS and it took me to recently relocate to another continent for him to get the hint that i am not ineterested in being a side piece. He was persistent for 6 years and by the grace of God i avoided an affair. I am a wife in waiting not a side chick. Thank you so much for sharing and validating to me that there is nothing special there especially when you are still hoping for marriage. I think one day i will write a book lol i have so many stories.

OMG this was an amazing story I myself went through something similar about five years ago and I'm hoping one day my heart will heal from it. She's so vulnerable and that takes a lot of strength she's so real and authentic not to mention amazingly gracious. Most people told me in that scenario to Follow my heart, but when I went to church that Sunday during the pastors sermon he actually talked about Sometimes you can't follow your heart, and this is when I knew to walk away.

This was sooooo good!!! My gosh...I even had to fight back the tears....especially when Danai said "give what you want to get"...in all honesty...I stopped doing that because of hurt. So now I ask God to "guard my heart" for safety. My God....this was soo good ..

The pain and struggle is real. There were so many gems in your story that was so helpful to me. Especially as a God fearing person who wants to do right.

My 1st tear was when she recited the Shunamite Woman “strength”, I don’t know man of God how you were managing but when you read your “wifey” letter - I put 2 & 2 together, how she just so happened to be in LA as you. I’m sorry but I need you to go through this episode you just did with this woman & watch the amazing, electrifying chemistry between you 2.
    To God be the Glory😇🙏🏽

"I'm not a secret! I don't want to be hidden!" That is deep! I was not in a position as Danai such as the man being married. But I did believe that God had blessed me with the man I was to marry, and it was not so. I was confused for a while, but it drove me closer to God. I commend her for speaking her truth and getting healed from it. God will never bless sin, so it doesn't even make sense to entertain those thoughts. The relationship will never give the satisfaction that you desire. My relationship with God is too important! I truly love Him! Another awesome episode! Great job, Laterras!❤
