If you are trying to learn hand knot, this is a video you are searching for. Thicker line, in contrast to the background, blue gloves and at slow and understandable pace. You need 10 minutes to grasp the idea between to types of knotting.
No worries. This is all done outside the mouth and when you make the tie, you slide the suture down with a finger which will then enter the mouth to tighten the knot. All the best!
If you're holding the suture needle/driver in the left hand, the right hand is doing all the work. Make sure to keep the tension on the suture with the left hand as you continue to form your knots. Hopefully this helps! Keep at it as it takes some practice. All the best!
Intial part I felt too descriptive without any practical technique, and so a bit difficult to continue watching. But then found it really a very good simplified technique teaching method. Learned in a minute! 😊👍
If you look closely, you are creating a series of slip knots rather than a series of square knots. If you pinch these finished knots and pull, they will slide down supply/needle side of the suture. Not a secure suture especially with monofilament suture.
The tail is longer, so yes I do use more. There is typically more than enough in a package for what’s needed for most procedures though. If you want to use less suture use the needle end of the suture to pull on and tighten things down instead of pulling on the tail. All the best!

Sorry for the ignorance, but are your hands inside the patients mouth?

@OnlineExodontia Thanks, doc!
You are the best bro
Excellent finally understood 🎉
After the first knot, im finding it difficult to keep the knot tight before tying the second knot! Any tips?

I love you ❤ finally got the second part after watching so many videos.
Great to hear!
have you tried this with 5-0 vicryl?
Indications for such sutures?

Great tutorial
Thanks a ton
Masterpiece
AMAZING!!
You should hold the needle driver in your dominant hand while you practice ties. It's better training. Still a nice video though 👌.
Great advice Chris! Thanks for watching.

Amazing sir
Do you find you use more suture material using this method? (Because your tail seems to be longer)

@@OnlineExodontia Excellent video. I've appreciated learning from you on much of your content.
The tail controls the needle.
Any girl who twirls her hair knows how to do this already
This guy spent 7 minutes explaining how to tie a square knot.
