Google morning friends. Liked your video. Pretty impressed with the saw. I have several cordless tools and I'm having trouble with the batteries when its really cold. They seem to be draining fast. Have you experienced this with your tools? I've been reading that tesla cars are having problems. Lithium batteries. With this , have you used the new saw when its really cold out? If so, any problems? Have a great day, thanks for sharing. Be safe randy
Thanks Randy, I’ve used my battery operated tools very little in really cold weather. The coldest was around 32 degrees Fahrenheit. I’m sure cold weather will negatively affect them but I haven’t measured that yet. The second part of this review (next video) is to show actually usage on a 15-17” red oak log and see how the saw and battery performs. I’m already guessing I’ll need another battery when working with large wood…. Maybe someone from #dewalt will chime in and sponsor a couple of 60V batteries!
I live in Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 I've used the 20v max 12" last winter and cut up 3 cords of standing dead trees at -20°C to -30°C AND YES , The cold drains batteries. So I keep a few in my winter coat inside pockets net to my body ( 5AH ) basically 1 battery to section one tree , I have 6 and the first is charged by the time the last is spent .
I'm going to steal that idea of using a dowel and magnet to measure your cuts. I haven't seen that trick before. Thanks for the video :)
Glad to help.
Love the videos old timer. God bless you and you're wife. Keep the videos coming
Thanks! Will do!
Love from India very nice presentation
Thanks so much and welcome to our channel.
Oh boy...this is gonna be my fourth chainsaw. Lol
Add an extra battery if you are into heavy sawing. It comes in handy when cutting firewood.
we have a couple of stihl they seem to work well but haven't compared them, it just what we have always had
I love our Stihls too. We have a 291 and a 251C. Hoping the DEWALT supplements them well.
