I just saw Lea Michele as Fanny Brice on Broadway - SHE OWNS THAT ROLE - she got 6 standing ovations in the first act ALONE. AMAZINNNGGGGG! YOU LOVE HER, YOU HATE HER, BUT YOU CAN NEVER DENY THIS GIRL OF HER TALENT.
How do you count them?

She seems to have really grown up, it was a true pleasure to see her talents as Fanny. I believe in second chances nor do I get off on pretending to be a morally superior person so rooting for her that this is real

I believe in second chances but she hasn't really own up to her bad behavior. And when she sort of address it she made it seem that it was her work ethic that cause others to misread her intentions which is a stretch.
She's always had a lovely side. She just had a stuck up side that she shared with people she felt were inferior to her. This is how she always was but only with people she considered equal. Hopefully everyone is treated this way for a while given she knows of her bad reputation.

@@oakavon Because she spat on a soup that is a food to be served in catering for the cast and crew so.... I doubt that has to do with any of the "work ethics".
This girl gets it. She know who she was and now she understands how one can change. Through humility. Through talent. Through taking personal inventory about her character defects and simply making a living amends to herself, her family and her fans.
So happy for her. She is truly talented
Lea Michelle is the absolute real deal. She is such an incredible talent. She has it all. To see her finally realize her dream to play Fanny Brice on Broadway is such a thrill. I saw her and Jonathan Groff in Spring Awakening when it was just an obscure (not for long!) musical about kids in 19th century Germany. She is a rare gift. People can say what they what they want about her. It doesn’t change how profoundly talented she is. Was she a bit of a diva on the set of Glee? Maybe. People do grow and change over time. Wait what?! All the haters were ready to pounce when Lea was tapped to replace Beanie Feldstein. (Who had no business playing a role that required power vocals. She’s a great actress. Her voice isn’t bad but she could not carry this role). No one can say anything to Lea now except ENCORE! She is brilliant. She was born to play this role and I’m so thrilled for her. ⭐️

I was one of the fans who waited with flowers on her opening night and it felt like such a culmination of a journey we've all been on. Love Lea so much!
Lea is incredibly talented, her voice is just incredible. I also love the fact that Lea and Johnathan have been such best friends for so long and have remained that close throughout the years! It’s sweet to see how close Lea is with Darren Criss as well.
Cory would be so proud of her. Truly 👏 I know she's always been a Broadway girl even before Glee but still. So happy for her

I think everyone has moments where they break and pressure gets to be too much. I could tell just watching glee they all had moments that wouldn’t show them in the best light. Lea’s character Rachel was the star and easiest to attack without judgment

But she looked like a sweet, normal person on Glee too. But majority of her colleagues hated her.
@@sscc99 She was always sweet on Glee. I've know multiple people who worked as extras and loved being around her. Those colleagues hated her out of jealousy.
I think she’s always been sweet and people like to poke at talented people out of jealousy. Dynamics on the set created a pressure cooker situation where ALL the actors had moments. Lea was just the star and easier to throw under the bus

She honestly does seem a lot more sincere and grounded. Who knows what kind of lesson she’s learned (and to what extent), but I’m glad she’s in a place where she can really express her talent in a way that’s open and honest. This role really is one that she fit into perfectly (the critics seem to agree on this one), and, if nothing else, this was a good place for her to land.
I’m happy for her, good to know that she has grown and become a better person. Granted, she made mistakes but she is human. Good for her!

I am really happy for Lea and wish her the best. Did anyone notice or think it was interesting that she found out that she got the role essentially in a restaurant which is similar to how Rachel found out she got the same role in Glee? Lol.
I am kinda happy for her because every time they mention husband it just brings back memories of her life with Cory 😢 it just doesn’t feel right tbh I hope one day monchele reunite not as friends but as husband and wife

I go back and forth whether I truly believe the rumors about her. There may be some truth to them but I have a feeling it's somewhere in the middle. Even if it's somewhere in the middle of course I do not agree with everything she may have done or said.
But I am glad she is actually getting the second chance and showing people that she is still around because while whatever she did if it is true I may not agree with, what I disagree with even more is the judgment of her and what felt like people thinking she could never redeem herself. I would hope somebody would not judge me or thinking I could not possibly redeem myself for maybe something I did in my 20s or even 30s compared today in my 40s. I am not morally superior to anyone and I believe everyone deserves a second chance. I am glad she got it.

A lot of the rumours were blatant lies and disproven as well. Just shows how social media can truly escalate something.
I think the fact that her Glee co-stars have not kept in touch with her and have no intention of seeing her perform this role, tells us everything about how she was ten years ago. In this interview she acknowledges that she was previously 100% career-driven and it would seem that she didn't treat people well along the way. She's been cancelled and fortuitously her baby came during that period. She's had a chance to grow, reflect and change. She appears to have seized this lucky second chance and I wish her nothing but the best going forward. I hope this is the beginning of a fabulous second part to her career.
"If it's not fun, then why do we do it?" I try to remind myself of that too with the arts. It all starts from a place of love and joy!

I saw the show and Lea was sublime.
She's a perfectionist. I still recall what happened to her Glee audition. Love her. People overreacted re: micro-aggression. It's not career-ending. Who here works long hours and have never snapped at people? Just me? I'm the office grump? Lol. I think she's sweet and is far away from Mariah Carey levels of divahood. Love Mariah too.

If you listen to an interview with Lea from 10 years ago, it's clear that she is a very different, more humble person now. I don't know to what extent the rumors of her behavior were true, but some of it definitely was. Learn and grow.

If Ryan didnt put Funny Girl on Glee. I think, people (more so young adults), would not watch this or wouldnt know this. Broadway for me open up when I watched Glee and now I love anything Broadway. Since Glee is most accessible for me. And Lea killed this role.
