Jerry! That’s what makes it awesome! They still have biweekly karaoke and amazing sunset dinners ;). Also all the families come out after dark

Although we live in Sayulita, my wife and I absolutely love going to the beach in Lo De Marcos. Hardly any beach vendors. You can actually see the beach and ocean instead of just umbrellas and chairs. The beach bars are way more affordable. We call it a Slow Day in Lo De. ❤ Lo De!

I'll take a deserted beach over a crowded one any day!

We enjoyed our visit to LDM the first week of June and didn't feel it was 'lonely". We also had beautiful weather at that time.

As a California desert dweller I’ll tell you I love the quiet summers here (even though it’s terribly hot). No snowbirds to deal with! 😅

It’s all a matter of perspective. No crowds is fine with me.

Your misrepresenting it all the snowbirds have left it’s nice to only have locals it’s not lonely the work is seasonal and all the rain and wildlife makes it so beautiful, as you might guess I prefer LDM

I stayed in June of 2024 and it was so sad how empty it was. The businesses are barely hanging on.

It's low season. Most of the American and Canadian's have left to avoid the heat. My niece lives in Puerto Vallarta for most of the year. She has friends there that have lived in PV for 10 years or more that are considering moving to other areas of Mexico because of inflation and the higher cost of living in the area.

@@JerryBrownTravels My niece has been able to find 2 bdrm apts in PV for about that but lately, those rates are becoming harder to find. Locals know they can get more especially during high season plus the strong Peso makes both US/CAD dollar not go as far.

@@JerryBrownTravels Jerry, your interviewee is one of the reasons Mexico keeps jacking up the monetary requirements to get a legal visa. Mexico wants retirees that help the local economy, not compete with the can collectors.

It's low season. There's only so many tourists to go around. I think this is normal for L de M. I've been there in high season. Very nice! Sayulita is more trendy and if the surfing is better that would make the difference.
