Thank you for telling me in advance that I would see beautiful beaches, but I didn’t expect that the Chile series would end with a beautiful beach. The entire series highlights the diversity of Chilean terrain! To me, it is a mysterious, beautiful country and holiday paradise! Yes, this is another very successful series, and your planning was very careful, smart, and brilliant, and it shows what great TH-camrs you both are! Please continue to take us around the world, it’s great to have you in this world! Thanks a lot for sharing, really great job! 👍🥰🙏
You mean the only beautiful part? and that's because the German settlers that arrived after World War II, the rest of the country it's what Chile really is like, poop. I live there by the way.
@@commieprohibition5429 i would disagree, the beauty of the south lays in the nature and the efforts we do to preserve them. Also its not like we have a Villa Alemana in the 5th region too lol
Excellent video! Chile 🇨🇱 is very beautiful!!! Nice landscapes, Great foods and drinks. Chilean wine vino 🍷 is one of the best wines of the World. Delicious!!
I did not realize how beautiful Chile really is. The city with. the colorful buildings and artwork pretty cool. Love the sand dunes and clearwater beaches. Landscapes are awesome. Happy Anniversary to both and Happy Birthday Carol! 😊
19:30 just for some context, those dunes were much bigger in area but overtime the land has been used to build large buildings to take advantage of those very nice ocean views, so now it looks like a random pile of sand in the middle of a city lol. A big chunk of it is protected now so they won't be going anywhere. Demand for these apartments is big because a lot of people from Santiago buy them to get away from their city, it's just an hour and a half away, so it's nice to be able to just come for the weekend and relax. Glad you enjoyed the city!
The new years fireworks display in Valparaiso/Vina del Mar is the most impressive that I have ever seen, shooting fireworks from boats and barges the entire length of the bay for a very long time. Even more impressive than the national day fireworks in Paris, France.

Chile is the longest country in the world from north to south, we are also a coastal country, which means that we have thousands of beaches with crystal clear waters, not to mention the crystal clear waters of the lakes, lagoons, rivers, waterfalls that come from the Andes, we have the wonders of the pacific and the mountain ranges

Valparaiso did remind me of San Francisco while Santiago reminded me a little bit of Los Angrles. Vina del Mar sort of reminds me of Santa Barbara. The weather in Valparaiso is also very similar to San Francisco's. I only spent a short tome at Vina del Mar so i didnt get to visit those amazing sand dunes when i was there last year.
you been to SF lately? The city is overrun with homeless people and there are so many empty storefronts, it's become a form of urban blight. Valparaiso isn't exactly like SF but it has a similar vibe and definitely similar climate/weather. Thankfully, Valparaiso doesn't have a homelessness problem like SF does. My main complaint with Valparaiso is they are not investing enough in maintaining their infrastructure, especially their funicular. Only a few of their dozen funicular are still operational.
@@rjhemedes and with the same kind of government , Valparaiso is looking closer to look like San Francisco and for the homeless is just a matter of time

Sausalito, California is a sister city of Viña del Mar. In fact, the stadium in that city is called Sausalito, where there is also an area and a lagoon with the same name.
Please come to South Africa. Cape Town = hikes, mountains, amazing vineyards and wine, penguin beaches, beautiful beaches, swimming with seals, sea kayaking, and the exchange rate is in your favour. Very nice video! I like the peaceful pace of your travels and the background information you provide. Viña del Mar and Valparaiso are well-known destinations for Chilean outings, but when they go on longer vacations they usually go south. The lakes and pine forest region starts in the Ninth Region, at about Temuco and goes to Puerto Montt, and even the island of Chiloé is very interesting. You will have to do that next time. Then you can go to Bariloche, Argentina, and go into all directions from there.
Well I was looking for a chill city by the water in Chile to be a nomad for a couple months, didn't realize it was going to be this easy. Thanks for sharing!
thanks a lot guys, caleta abarca was the beach of my childhood, definitely that was the best time on my life, i still remember that we used to spend the whole summer there, from november to march, best regard from spain
Hey guys, could you consider filming and uploading in 4k60fps? The 1080p of youtube doesn't do justice to these places and on a bigger screen the video gets a bit mushed as well. Would take your videos to the next level for sure! :)
I love when a new video comes out from you two.Vina Del Mar looks like a lovely place and it does remind me of the Algarve too. I loved that restaurant you were in at the beach with great views from the window. The sand dunes were amazing too with a motorway at the bottom...sometimes it looked like you were in a desert. I liked the colourful buildings of Valparaiso, the artwork was amazing. I think that was a Copa America game Brasil were playing, it must've been hard to keep quiet when Brasil won the penalty shoot out.The views of the Andes from the plane were breath taking. Thanks again Chris and Carol for another wonderful video and have a nice birthday when it comes Carol. Adeus por enquanto Chris e Carol. ❤

I live in Viña del Mar and you really captured the area quite well, also the cities Concón and Valparaíso. But you also should have made videos of the southern part of Chile of Patagonia, it really is stunningly beautiful with all the mountains, lakes, rivers and glaciers. Maybe an idea for your next visit to this stunningly beautiful country.

19:32 I live inland just behind the sand dunes and yeah, they're random af 😂 They look even more random from above in Google Earth. They are supposed to be the last bit of the Atacama desert, but funny enough, the Atacama desert doesn't have sand dunes lol, it's a rocky desert. Still, my beloved Concón dunes are a hidden wonder of the world 😍, you saw and showed here why I say so. Regarding the economy (19:50), Chile is the biggest producer and exporter of copper by a huge margin. Mines are up north, in the territory conquered from Peru and Bolivia in the War of the Pacific (1879-1884). However Chile got prosperous and rich only lately, thanks to China's huge demand for copper and a vast number of free trade treaties signed in the last 30 years, that have allowed Chile to export wine, salmon, fruits, etc to almost everywhere. Still, Viña del Mar and Concón are indeed among richest places in Chile, but not the richest. Those are in eastern Santiago.
