- Hello everyone and in this tutorial we will be creating a countdown effect using Animation Nodes! Animation nodes is an addon that allows you to create so many complex animations. It's basically programming without writing any code.

Thanks! I was trying to make a counter that only lasted 120 frames @30 FPS counting down from 10 to 0. I can do it with this. Thanks again!

Nice tutorial! but since I'm doing a countdown timer the numbers should go from 59 to 00 seconds, how do I set that?

Not sure if you'll see this question since the video is so old, but if you wanted the countdown timer to start at 15 minutes, do you make 2 separate animations, one for the minutes and one for the seconds? If so, how do you loop the seconds so it resets for each minute. Is there an easier way to do a 15 minute countdown with animation nodes?
Is it possible to do this with the video editor workspace? When I got to Text Object Output, it wasn't available as an option, only Camera when I had Text selected in the sequencer

Is there a plug-in for a stopwatch? So counting up in seconds and minutes instead of counting down in seconds.
This doesn't work for followed everything, the animation tab is there so are the nodes but when I put the text data into the "Text Object Output" it doesn't change a thing I tried changing the settings and stuff not really doing anything any suggetions?

the numbers cannot animated in render, just in preview we can see the counting

only problem with this is you cant have it counting down in seconds and minutes. would be great if you can have minutes left had side of the decimal point and the right have numbers countdown from 59 rather then 99

It says for version 2.8, but when I use the zip file on 2.8.16 (clean install on Windows 10) it errors with an import error: "DLL load failed. The specified module could not be found".
I queried the github folks and got the answer: For windows you need to install this C++ redistribution from Miicrosoft: x64: vc_redist.x64.exe , after I did that it worked fine.
I can confirm this does fix the problem. The link is included on the page you download the add-on below the GitHub link.

Blender crashes while rendering, is anyone facing the same issue?
Unfortunately Animation Nodes doesn't support Blender 3.x due to the new version of python. Left a comment on the community to see if there's a new one coming... I'll remove this post if it's updated...
But does it do minutes? Saw this method on more places, but only uses seconds. Anyone?

It's don't work for me.
It was not working for me as well, after some research I found that the problem was that the scene on the NodeThree (right side menu on animation nodes) was not the right one!
