Developers net trees to prevent birds nesting in them. This is so they can chop them down without waiting for chicks to fledge (which the law requires if nests are present).
@Rearda thanks for taking the time to comment, i have never seen nets used by developers around here, however they have ripped out hedges during nesting season, when confronted they reckon an envoiromentalist checked and found no nests, personally i don't believe them
@@JOHNMONO There should be paperwork which the local authority should have sight of. If fines and penalties went back into the local economyaybe they'd make more effort.
@@Rearda i fear the local authorities are a joke, there has to be a paper trail i would think on the ADC planning portal, the hedges they ripped out during nesting season was a disgrace and yet they said they found no evidence of nests !!!
