    "I didn't steal nothing" is correct if I stole something.

    Double negatives are very common in Spanish and I am sick of normies harassing me with those grammar mistakes.
    "¿No sirve para nada?" is one of those and I'm like "Shut up!".

    I understand it perfectly. Any nos or not, change to a different word to replace it with.

    On the contrary. I'm possibly more or less not definitely rejecting the idea that in no way with any amount of uncertainty that I undeniably do or do not know where he shouldn't probably be, if that indeed wasn't where he isn't.

      So imagine two homies vandalizing the side of a building with spray paint. Then they see a police officer approaching so they'd furtively ditch the can of spray paint. However the police officer's suspicions are triggered because of their furtive movements so he decides to investigate. He points at the wet spray paint and says, "did you do this?" In reply one of the homies says "we ain't done none of that!" Then the police officer says, " thanks for confessing, you're both under arrest!"

      Using two negatory statements doesn't automatically give the sentence the opposite meaning. Your example is not only incorrect, it is somewhat bizarre.
      By the way the first part of my last sentence is a double negative. Is it wrong? I would bet that you often use sentences very similar that, homie.

    • @hammockcamping2500
      @hammockcamping2500 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PeacefulPariah I disagree.

    • @hammockcamping2500
      @hammockcamping2500 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Does It Even Matter Take note that when correcting a statement that has two negatives by replacing one with a positive, the meaning changes. "Don't have NO milk means nearly the opposite of "don't have ANY milk".

    • @samaustin8690
      @samaustin8690 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Crazy that someone who calls double negatives “bad English” is racist!

    • @samaustin8690
      @samaustin8690 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hammockcamping2500 This isn’t a matter of opinion, you’re just wrong. Double negatives almost never reverse a statement’s meaning.
      The racist example you provided corrects use of double negatives in AAVE, but in AAVE double negatives are widely used to emphasize negative statements.
      This is not controversial among linguists, but apparently is among ignorant racists.

    Why do people teaching Grammar always speak sooooooo slow?? That does not help, actually makes it more difficult to keep track of what's being said.
