Instead of the factory clips to hold the rippers in place, I use 5/8" x 4" bolts and just drop them in place! No tools (channel locks) required! It also keeps the rippers from rattling around so much. I also installed a hydraulic "Trim N Tilt" kit on my tractor. Yes, it is somewhat expensive, BUT, it allows so much more adjustment and versatility with ALL of your implements. It is so easy to make quick adjustments.

Great review. I don’t own one yet but want to purchase. I have a 2 mile long dirt road, gravel, holes and rocks embedded and wonder if such an implement is strong enough to handle. I am concerned what happens if the scraper hits a fairly big rock.
Great video, the BB1254 costs $1005 as of writing this. I agree these implements are grossly overpriced, however when compared to the competition they are all relatively around this price point.
The cost of steel has went up significantly ( along with everything else) not so sure it would be worth trying to build your own unless you have a low cost source for steel. Then trying to bend or roll the proper angles would take major equipment to do it correctly.

The Land Pride is $100 more but my local dealer has more experience with them. I plan on selling the Paladin when I am done. I have snapped 3 shanks so far on a heavily rooted and rocky area I’m leveling🙄.

if you set it to 1/4", you can use toplink adjustment (angle of the box) to find the needed depth.
how much range do you think you can get by doing that? Good idea too

I'm sold on your review on the BB1260. My tractor is a bit larger 38hp kubota. Just have to be careful with it and see.
Its a beast. I thought a couple times i was going to chip the blade after some hard hits from large stuck stones but it did great
