- Hi guys, thank you for joining us.
It is middle to late autumn and we can feel the atmosphere changing in our town.
So far we have been working on the inside of the house doing things like both bathrooms and getting started with the kitchen.
We are trying to get as much as we can done, as my mum is coming to visit us for the summer, and we know that once she arrives we will be visiting many new places and work will slow down. Add to that the summer heat, and we have a feeling we wouldn't want to be doing much LOL.
During this episode, we will start and complete the renovations on the front of our house. The house has great curb appeal, but it has been a little neglected for a while.
I can't wait to have the front of the house nice and neat, so that I can get started with planting and making the front even more beautiful.

The facade is beautiful! You were able to keep the traditional look as well as choosing colors that are very popular now in the interior/exterior design community! Your colors are much more 'pleasing to the eye' in comparison to the original color scheme. You have impeccable taste! Bravo!

You guys did an awesome job with the facade of your new house, its very nice, I love that blue door. I am wondering, if your area has any color codes that you have to stick with, since most of other you tubers that i've been following do have strict colors and materials that they can use on a renovation on the outside of the houses. Are the other TH-camrs in places like Tuscany, Positano or even Puglia? There usually are restrictions in touristic places and areas of historical significance. In a way that makes those towns kind of like a 'display village'
Our town is a regular town, without these restrictions except perhaps for some houses around the small historical district near the church.
That is not to say that there is a lack of historical sites. There is a history of Templar sites around the area, and Roman artifacts just outside the town. The site was opened, examined, and then closed again, because there are so many around the area and in Italy that the government can't afford to make something out of each of them.

Ciao so I see you wearing short sleeves in this video and I saw you wearing short sleeves at the beginning of November when you were moving the wood around what are the cold months? What are the months where you need a jacket in the heat on?
Hi Katerina. We feel that we tolerate weather more than the people around us.
We started using the stove late November and finished around mid February or so.
Coats are tricky to say because it depends on the time of the day and what we're doing, where we're going, so I can't recall that one 😉
Beautiful, You said it was very expensive to expose the stone. Appoximately how much, and if you had not done the outside yourselves how much would that have cost compared to exposing stone??

The cost is high as compared to doing plastering and painting yourself, you would need to contract a company and they would use about 4 to 5 people for the job, plus depending on the house/location, there would be scaffolding needed and depending on the where the scaffolding is placed, council approval may be needed.
We have asked if we can get updating pricing as of 2023. Once we receive the information we would be doing a video about it 😉
The facade transformation is beautiful. The door knocker is very high. I think a midget person might have a problem knocking on your door.

Hi Milan. It is difficult to estimate as it was done over time.
We tackled many areas of the house at once and got materials and used them as needed.
The video makes it look like it happened over a short time but in reality it was more like over 6 months
