I once met a very old Pakistani couple in UK, AND trust me when I told them that I was from chandi chowk, they literally hugged me and started crying telling me that they were born and brought up there before partition. I cried as well.

Back in 2018, I was staying in Kolkata & because of some reasons I couldn't go back home for Diwali. Everyday when I used to go out everything was lit up and it was such a festive atmosphere and I felt like crying because I was all alone in my hostel. I can understand how it must have felt like to stay away from family on the day of festivities.
