Ok... looks like a beautiful property. Now I know why your passing up a lot of bucks. I have property in far northeastern Wisconsin near mich border.we dont pass those 8 pointers by us😆! Bet you have some monsters in your neck of the woods every year!
Haha, we try to pass some, but it hasn’t exactly panned out the last few years. We haven’t harvested any bucks for 4 or 5 years now. Starts to make you regret passing some decent ones lol! There are usually some real big ones around though. That’s beautiful country where your property is at too. I bet it’s especially nice this time of year.
Hey thanks for your reply! I agree it’s really beautiful area in my area of Florence county. I have 2 of the states wild rivers within a mile of my property. But we just don’t have the quality of bucks like you. I have had some good luck shooting some of the bigger bucks I have on camera last few years but they are all between 100 and 125 inches. Severe winters and wolves,bears etc make it tough on our antler quality. I think it’s important to shoot one if it gets your heart beating and not worry about what anyone else thinks. Looking forward to watching your videos!
I appreciate the comments! You’re right about the tough conditions and large predators taking a toll. No wolves here (yet) and few bears helps us. And I totally agree about shooting whatever makes a person happy, and I appreciate that outlook on hunting. I gotta get cranking out some more videos. Keep in touch!
I love watching these trail cam videos! Never know what your going to get! I finally checked my trail cam and got 2 bucks on it, a 9 point and an 8 point. How's the Jeep doing?
+Jake Deal I agree, it’s like Christmas Day every time I pull cards lol! That’s good man, hopefully you can put the hammer down on one of those bucks. It’s nice to know they’re around anyhow. The Jeep is doing good! It needs a little TLC but I’m driving it every day - love it so far!
I did, I’m not sure how much of a difference it makes, but they usually hit the scrapes the same day. I used to think it was dumb but have read some articles about it and it seems to work.
