I couldn't find anywhere to pay for a 40 year old Talking Heads concert that is supposedly legendary. It's apparently so good you can't watch it anywhere! Good fun. Thanks for Phish and their fans. I at least can get a taste.
I use to watch that video on TH-cam like a mad man a few years ago
The best cover ever dogg!!!
the best!
It's like watching a masterpiece album being written in real time before you at some points. Truly phish at their best. This is what music is supposed to be. What it's supposed to make you feel. This show and similar shows, are my favorite pieces if music ever. Ever. My favorite artistic expressions. From anyone. I cant even describe how beautiful it is to me.
Love you all, Phan for Life.
Was there, & you right.
Was watching Trey's shit at Bonnaroo 02. w the fireworks being done in the campsites, best time of a charmed & blessed life. Spinning inside this kind of Sound reveals the real meaning of Life, GET DOWN!
What a ride!
Best Halloween show BY FAR
100%.. the whole show was sick.
Treys solo during born under punches is amazing he did a killer job replicating Adrians sounds, and live to boot!
This show is STILL an apex moment in my life. Like watching a butterfly emerge from its cocoon, having never seen a butterfly before. A seminal moment in their evolution as a musical force of nature. Thanks for posting this!
Straight Outta Chrysalis! (Not to be a scientific asshole) It's just such a pretty word for such a mind-blowing event in nature.
I was there as well
Brother, I couldn't have said it any better... Phish definitely popped my cherry with so many emotions. I knew something was permanently changed inside me. A True Blessing from The Spirit!!
I was lucky enough to have been there.
First of all the Atlanta Omni!
Unique and iconic.
What a show start to finish. My favorite song of set to was the great curve seeing live
This is a gift! Watching before I see Kidjo tomorrow nightn in Potprtland. Such a great album to be celebrated!
Just the best of what I know of Phish but the shows still so impress me
My first show. 12th Row. Center Stage. Met Mike post show. Up to that point in my life, the greatest musical experience I ever enjoyed. Instantaneous phan for life. Thank you for bringing me right back to 19 year old me.
So you had a greater musical experience than that? If so, please share...
About time someone let this gem see daylight for phans to truly digest how epic this was
One of the best performed Halloween covers, along with Exile On Main St in 2009! Love the Talking Heads and love Phish!!
my only two halloweens with phish
I was there. What an awesome night. ,❤❤✌🐸
I was lucky enough to be there - what a cool bit of history thanks for the blast from the past👍
I was there too! Awesome show!
Such an awesome night. Stopped by a guy making grilled cheese sandwiches in the parking lot after the show topped the night off perfect. Lol
Mother tucker I'd give my left testicle...
Was also there. It was a weird night. I was 16 and I remember running through the turnstiles like a madman because I heard Phish start their set and I was so late. That “start of the concert” sound...
i went to this one. had an extra ticket and people wanted to trade beer or a ticket to some other show. give me the damn 28 bucks! To the drunken guy with the cow costume on the MARTA, hope you living a good life....
This was hands down one of the top 3 shows/nights of my life. Thank you boys I love y’all!!

IMHO one of the best sets they've played. Straight fire to the brain
There's only one concert I really really really really really really regret I didn't go to and it was this one. Had a ticket and everything. It was exam review , i thought i shouldnt miss.
I've been listening to remain in lights since I was like 8 years old and the Talking Heads were my first favorite band
This is damn good I tell ya!!!
Top 3 sets all time
What are your other 2????
One of mine has gotta be the second set from 6/11/94 at red rocks. If you take the YEM from the first set (probably my favorite jam of all time) and stick it in the second set, I think you'd have my perfect set. Just an amazing show the whole way through.
I was there at the Omni! This Phish's best concert.
It's a great show, but not the best show
Wow the ambience at the end must have really tested the tripping people’s sanity
I was there I definitely saw both and it was crazyyyyy
Thank your for uploading this true masterpiece.
Really is them at their best. I hope they will top this and I hope I'm there to see it cuz these guys are so special
My only two Phish Halloween shows were this one in Atlanta and the '98 Vegas show where they covered Velvet Underground's Loaded. Definitely feel lucky to have been at both.
Miss the Omni as a big indoor venue in Atlanta.
Fortunate to have been in Vegas for the 12-6-96 show (Elvis-off encore) and back in Vegas 10/28/2021 for the Backward Down The Nimber Line show.
thanks for putting this together. i wasn't there, best show ever
Sounds as great as it did on Halloween 1996...
Thank you for the upload! This is huuuuge.
Huge I tell ya
@@danielharris3461it's what everyone's saying
Amen...! These guys are so stellar mann for real
This listening wind is fucking sick
My sentiments exactly
yeah the Great Curve is bonkers sick the guitar solo and crowd shots are the best . I saw the shows surround the omni, but i had to go back to school and couldn't make this one/ I had so much fun seeing Phish in the mid to late 90's!
Listen to both sets of the Dayton 97 show. Crazy killer stuff
One luv
I guess a video like this is the perfect forum to try to hone in on something I wonder about at times, especially when watching awesome Phish Halloween videos... I will never actually know the answer to this question, but:
Anyone been to EVERY Halloween show, or know someone who has been? (I've been lucky enough to have seen them all)
How were you able to get all of them? How did you get the tickets?
I Was There
