Sheldon, you seem to be one step ahead of me always hahaha. I was watching your 15 minute ambient video (even commented about what effects and stuff you were using) .and I thought "this guy could do a longer one, for an hour or something", and then boom, found your 1h35 ambient video. While I was listening to that, I though "it would be awesome if it had one of those hang drum things to give it some feather-like percussiveness", and then here it is!!! I'll have you guess what is in my head next hahaha.
I really enjoy your music, so I want to thank you., it gets me into reflexive space. I also wanted to tell you something funny, you look almost exactly like my dad.
This only the second piece I’ve heard of yours sheldon. The first was beautiful and this is off the scale. It’s just what I need right now to help me get through some tough times. Thank you for this and I’m looking forward to discovering more
I’m currently sat in the sun on a quiet beach on a Greek island with a good book and you playing quietly along with the sound of the Mediterranean Sea lapping at my feet as a backwash . Never been closer to heaven . Negative thoughts buried deep in the sand 👍
A question for you. Are these pieces improvised or have you composed them ? It feels like improvised exploration on the one hand but beautifully structured on the other. Just curious ?
@@paulhoughton5164 both correct I work with the themes for quite a while before I record them but improvise quite freely once I sit down yo play them. In an ambient setting I don’t stray as far as I might in a performance. I am actually planning a video talking about these issues quite soon
Sheldon, this is just terrific. You are a musical gift ... oh! and I'm sure you're a nice person too! I'm writing a boring business book and your music and peaceful atmosphere make the words flow. Thank you sir.
The TONGUE rings its looped melodic compound rhythm setting the scene for your echoic guitar to improvise melodically with riffs and sparkling harmonics... Very different from ancient plainsong though your open ended harmony and rhythms achieves a similar contemplative state of mind..! *Thinking out loud... Perhaps a future idea might be to add a third guitar voice in a polyrthythm.!? Big smiles from Spain, Sheldon, Clive
all of your music elevates my spirit but this is just next level all around...pure perfection
thank you Mercedi
gracias !!!!
grasias!
Nice to hear acoustic instruments , feels more soothing compared to synths
I’m glad you think so, for a long time I have wanted to hear ambient/ meditative music without synths so I’m really enjoying working in this area.
Thank you, Sheldon! I've found so much peace in your music
Thank you Angela - that is really nice to hear.
