Ah! There’s always that hope that an old faded signature is legit. It had me feeling good about it. Sorry it left you doing the Roy face, Mook, but it is nice to pick up the 54 Roy the same day. Fun show recap and if I ever go back to Philly it would be cool to make it to the show but only after I go by the Rocky landmarks.
Oh, you better believe there are guided tours for those Rocky landmarks! I definitely knew it was possibly/likely the sigs wouldn’t pass, but nothing ventured nothing gained!
Seriously fun times, Mookie. Great story. Great Bowman and Wheaties Campanella's. Great redemption. Cleon Jones, a star of the '69 Miracle Mets. Well done!!
Hey Mookie, what a fun day you had. That is great you were able to meet Dan. One of my favorite channels. Sorry to hear the Stengel and Campanella autos were not real but at least you don’t have to wonder anymore. I am with you on the 54 Campanella card. It is a well put together card where the design, background imagery and headshot of Campy all go together nicely. It is a card that draws you in. I wonder what is he thinking? Good luck with the submission. Take care
In the final analysis, if you asked me what I would have paid to enjoy a fun day like that it would have been way more than anything I spent at the booths on Saturday. Thanks Terry, I really appreciate your comments.
JSA are crooks! lol! Great recap and nice campys! I have a kiner Wheaties. They are so cool! Happy for you guys, you sounded like a school boy talking about it!
@@mookiechillson yeah, a card show with friends is a game changer! I heard you in the background of Sammy’s videos, sounds like you are almost ready for a live stream!
Fantastic show recap. Love the stories behind our hobby forays. The '54 Bowman Campy is such a classic shot of him, just excellent! Great transogram to cap it!
I too, relate all of my trips to Philadelphia to the Rocky movies, although I've only ever been to the city once. So sorry about your autographs, but I'm glad I could have a small but unknowing part in your redemption. Looks like a swell time. I'll have to make the trip someday. Also did you buy me a leg lamp? Also also thank you for reminding Sammy not to wear his camera into the bathroom.
Yes, the term “Philly” is very loosely used. Lol I’m glad you survived Pete’s driving. Wow, what was the price tag on the Seaver rookie??? Nice redemption with the Campy pickups! Good luck on the grades!
Thanks for sharing your Philly experience my friend - you had quite the roller coaster! I love that ‘54 Bowman Campy, and ironically sold mine last year in favor of that Wheaties Campy you also bought! I’m glad you enjoyed the suburb of ‘brotherly shoving’ 😂
Bummer on the autos but great recap and storytelling, Mookie! Sweet redemption, indeed! I thought you were gonna say you went back for the Tekulve auto after all, but the Campy cards were even better! 😃
I lived in Philly for years, and that show wasn't in Philly! I'm surprised they call it the Philly show when it's Philly-adjacent at best. I wonder if they used to have it at the Philly Convention Center? That's in actual downtown Philly. Anyway, I know my comment is late, but that trip down and back with you and the one and only Sammy Thunder was a blast. I'm also very flattered every time my cards make a cameo in your vids. That Mookie rookie is WAY undervalued, for sure. One day it will sit next to my 52T Mantle, not because of how he played, but because it was given to me by internet superstar Mookie Chillson! That's investment material dude!
Hi Mookie. Sounds like you have a wonderful time and you hung out with two great guys. Unfortunate about the fake autos. Nice Campy pickups, good luck on your submission. Talk to you soon my friend.
Mookie, I don't know about the Stengel, but the Campanella was not a coin flip. Honestly you should have saved your money. Glad your getting your money back from the seller.
You are a Phailure! I take pity on phailures! Only Philures get Cleon Jones Transograms! All jokes aside, I'm glad that you are getting your money back on the two cards. I know you felt it with the JSA results, but I felt that too. It reminded me of blunders that I've had picking up collections that wound up having fake cards in them. Speaking of blunder, that's what the one dealer thought my channel name was lol. "What the hell is a Sammy Blunduh?!" Priceless. Anyway man, I had a blast and I'm hoping that we can make it a routine. Happy to drive next time. Although, I'll be driving at grandparents speed compared to Pete's Richard Petty driving impersonation. However, he got us there in record time. I have to commend him for getting us there quickly and without phail! Hah, great way to end the comment!
Do you have to have a passport to get into Philadelphia? Campy! Too bad on the autos. Campy is a guy that was always smiling so it seems so that card is an anomaly.
Philly loves nothing more than draining the wallets of visiting Mets fans. I have to say, they really do treat you well behind enemy lines. And you're definitely right about smiling Campy - that's why I feel like this non-smiling "let's just do this" paralell!
I get out to Staten Island once a year. I will be there in August for a wedding. I have never attended a Mets game. Would you consider hitting a game with my buddy and I?@@mookiechillson
''All the shoving was brotherly.'' Haha that was a good one. I love Philly. Sorry to hear about the Campy auto. But glad the show was a good time.
Oh, you better believe I was proud of that line! Hahahaha thanks Andrew!
I really enjoyed this story and video! Love that set of Campy cards you nabbed! Bummer about your autos though😕 Philly! Great cards shown here!!!!
It was a freaking blast, Jason. A weekend I'll never phail to phorget. I'll stop.

Beautiful Campy pickups and terrific recap. Wish I could’ve gone with you guys. Sounds like it was a great time.
Just wait til the National, my friend!! It’s gonna be great!
Seriously fun times, Mookie. Great story. Great Bowman and Wheaties Campanella's. Great redemption. Cleon Jones, a star of the '69 Miracle Mets. Well done!!
Yes!! There's no problem a little Cleon Jones can't fix!

Sorry about your JSA submissions! The Philly Show is awesome! Although I’ve skipped the last 2! Hope to be back in September. Thanks for sharing!
Philly really does it right. I was very impressed!
Fantastic show recap. Love the stories behind our hobby forays. The '54 Bowman Campy is such a classic shot of him, just excellent! Great transogram to cap it!
Thanks Peeps - it was a super fun weekend for sure
Fun story of the show Mook! Great pick ups! Love the Exhibit Campy auto! Cool OPC Tekulve! Thanks for sharing!
OPC Tekulve is definitely still available, Darren! hahaha thanks, pal
Great stuff, Sammy is a star. Nice Campy
It was so fun, Orlando. Next, We’ll do it at the National with you!!
Enjoyed it Mookie! Fun! Bummer about the autos! Nice Campy pick ups!! Nice redemption!
Thanks Warren! I touched the stove with those autos - won’t do it again!
been burned a few times myself Mookie!
Even a bad show is better than a good day at work!
aint that the truth! Great point!

You know, I did not even ask for a price on Seaver - I think it was 150k?
@@mookiechillson I’ll take two!

You picked out the two things I was happiest with in this video, Iconic. The Wheaties Campy and the brotherly shove line. You have great taste!!
Really fun recap! Sorry about the autos but glad you got sweet redemption! 😀 Fun pickups and I love the 52 Wheaties of Campy pickup!
Wheaties make everything better! Thanks Reese! I appreciate it very much!
Bummer on the autos but great recap and storytelling, Mookie! Sweet redemption, indeed! I thought you were gonna say you went back for the Tekulve auto after all, but the Campy cards were even better! 😃
Doh!! I needed that Tekulve idea at 3p on Saturday! Now THAT would have been a kicker! Thanks Shane!
Great recap, I really like the Cleon Jones
Yes, you could surely do a lot worse than Cleon!! Thanks Alan, I appreciate it
Glad you had a good time, always a show i'd like to attend someday. thanks for sharing the "sweet" cards and experience.
It was a genuine blast. I would highly recommend it!
Those Wheaties cards are great! Every time I see I immediately have to drop my phone and
No!! BK come back?!
Sounds like alot of fun even with the phail.
It really was a total blast! Well, near-total
