@@mrboo3049actually it was the strained calf not the knees which hindered him during that series which is why rik smits got the better of Ewing. Smits always played Ewing well but technically if they didn't blow game 1 that series could have had a different outcome but what happened only could have happened the way New York sports always happened snatching defeat from jaws of victory Mets Yankees rangers icelanders as captain use to call the Islanders jets and giants New York sports always invent new ways of losing it's a reason they call it new instead of just York 😂😂😂 but hey Ewing still my favorite player of all time
I love the matchup between Ewing and Shaq, an all-around center with an amazing range of skills vs. a bludgeoning, barreling force of nature, just bulling his way into his "range" (the dunk).
I came to see young Penny against the Knicks (all time favorite player) but had to give props to Scott Skiles pass 🔥8:21 and then Penny came back with the sick dime 13:18
I always feel Scott Skiles would've been a great backup for the Magic when they made the Finals. Penny was better point guard individually but Skiles was a better organizer of the offense.
@@son323 well "doubt" is the key word, isn't it? We don't exactly know if Skiles wanted to be a backup or not, but we all know Magic tried to trade him to Sacramento to get Spud Web, before eventually moving him to Washington so they could get Horace Grant.
I know Penny is a better pg with passing, but I think they might have a better chance in the finals against the rockets if their line up is Shaq, D-Scott, Horace Grant, Penny(playing the 2) and Skiles as PG. they should have trade Nick Anderson instead of

The playoff series that we all didn't get to see
1995 EASTERN CONF FINALS
KNICKS VS MAGIC
Blame Ewing for missing the layup

I can't blame Ewing 100%
Due to his knee problems. But you have a point right there😔😉

That 95 magic squad would've destroyed the Knicks in a playoff series
Love your videos because you show all aspects of the game....the made shots, missed shots, blocks, rebounds, and more......Thank you

Play by Play announcer Marv Albert said "The Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway show has Begun"
Plus the intangibles called toughness and composure.
Skiles (I believe still held the most assists in a game with 30) even dared Shaq in a fistfight.
Doubt skiles wanted to be a backup at the time. Brian Shaw was a good backup pg the following year

This game was closer than the final score would indicate
Yeah if it wasn’t for Starks erupting who knows what would’ve happened.
Shaq became the Best Center in NBA History.. Nobody could stop him in his Prime... NOBODY ! 💯
NBC aired quite a few Magic vs Knicks games with Shaq vs Ewing and aired a few Knicks vs Lakers games after Shaq went to LA
That was supposed to be the big rivalry in the East, sucks that they never matched up in the playoffs.
NBA on nbc was so great at hyping you up for the game
Thank you for my request! If you have anymore NBA on NBC highlights with the extended intro (also short) can you upload them as soon as you can!
👍
@@MDBBallThank you man! Especially from the 1993-94 and 1994-95 season please!
This would made for a good ECF the following season if the Knicks had won game 7 against the Pacers.
And possibly a Rockets-Knicks rematch
Classics on NBC
classic matchup love knicks team but orl so unique and talanted
The Knicks should have won the championship in 94 it was no Jordan
Do you happen to have any NBA on CBS from 1990?
Yes I think at least a couple hopefully I'll try to get to then in the future
This was the year for the Knicks
And so was 1997 but we all know what happened 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
