I agree fully about BGG ratings! I think it can be so tricky and misleading. Especially to new players. Like, a REALLY good game on BGG would have around a 7/10 rating and I’ve spoken to loads of new players who see things like that and are like “oh only a 7, maybe I’ll skip that”.

If not, highly recommend - fantastic worker placement game, and I love the book and its sequel. As for a sleeping gods type zelda game...I'm all for it!
Am I a collector if I am at exactly 50 games? It's one of my things to keep my budget in check. I can have a maximum of 50 games, they have to fit the space I have (no more room allowed), etc. Thanks for the great video. I wish there was a way for you two to combine a board game convention with your friends AND a Disney trip. Rides in the morning and games in the afternoon. How great would that be!? I understand that selling your house will help a lot right now because the market is insane but if you plan on buying again in the future it's going to cost you a ton more. I mean hopefully you guys are really successful and the money won't matter then but it's really something to think of. Are you ok with not being a home owner again?
I mean - we really don’t have any risk of not being home owners again. Not going to get into the personal aspects of our life. Even if the market stays hot, we will be in a much better position in the future.
As long as the BGG list is populated through votes, then whatever is there should be there. 🤷🏻♂ "Fair" is tossed around a lot but ironically that's equally subjective. Like most things in life, accept reality and just come to things with a grain of salt. :)
Don’t really understand this comment. We were merely commenting on the system as a whole, and were quite clear that the list is fine. We use BGG all the time. Less a critique, more an observation.

I think if you frequently have more than 5 games on your shelf of shame at a time, then you are definitely a collector.
I wouldn’t inherently disagree but 5 might be a bit too low haha
Eh, I think 5 is fair, but maybe it should scale with the size of the collection/frequency of playing board games.
