Appreciate the kind review! Glad you like it. I feel like we really got this one right. I will say, definitely NOT Lucid Ice. Confirmed with our factory after hearing rumors about this. Those two plastic types are made in two completely different countries. Thanks again!
You did get it right, I bought mine the day they came out and came within a couple of feet of acing a 300' tunnel shot on my third throw with the thing. And then on the same hole the day after, it was less than a foot from going right in the chains on my fourth throw with it. I've never liked a disc this much from the moment I got my hands on it.
The wing is different than an FD and the molds I’ve received are bulging up in the middle. It’s over stable not what i wanted to replace my FD and not what I expected quality wise given the cost. At least you have the enigma

Same, like 4-5 years ago. Then, I realized I couldn't get anymore in 2020 when I dedided I needed a backup. Discmania took a bit too long, so I moved onto other discs. I'll try it eventually..
I had two of them hand delivered on their release date. Did one throw to see how it was and then today I finally got to spend some "Quality time" with it. Love the plastic feel and yeah, that disc has such a nice flight.
Driving an hour to pick one (or three) up today. I hope it is more stable. I have a beat up and basically new s line, so if right away it’s the stable counterpart to those, I’m sold.
Hunter I REALLY appreciate that I can trust that you are giving an honest review. How would you say this compares to the passion? Yeah that new FD looks epic. Im droolin.
I think the reason it seems more stable is because of the shape of the wing that you're noticing as a different feel. It's the same thing as Calvin ripping on Eagle X's because he turns Eagle L's over. The L has a straight lip and the X is more concaved. Super stoked for more and more Discmania original molds!!!!
When i started playing a few years ago, one of the first discs i bought was an FD... and after a while when i got a decent hang of how to throw i started loving that disc... only problem was that i, as a total noob just walking into a store and buying some discs, had bought it in a grass green color :D [i would never buy a disc in that color today] and since it's so hard to find after i have thrown it (no matter if it's on the fairway or in the woods) i haven't thrown it much... and at this point there were no more FDs in the stores :/ but now i guess the next disc i buy will be a pink FD
I've seen dyed discs in greeny brown camouflage patterns. Some people are just mad. Love my florescent yellow discs, nothing worse than looking for an invisible disc
I don't know, I got quite a bit of turn out of it from ~420 foot drives. The new MD3 has the same last two numbers and I get none of that turn when throwing it as hard as I can.
@@brianbethea3069 drivers are going to naturally have more side to side movement. Also very uncommon for people to throw a 7 speed 420' so you're more of an outlier.
U guys gotta get your hands on the new color glow fd from the mystery box. It has a bit of turn which is perfect for the fd. Not Flippy but not super overtsable.
Looks like these will beat in just fine and do the trick. FD and FD3 are discs I can throw as far as my distance drivers. If it's not windy, I'm probably throwing the FD for most shots under 350.
I wish it didn't take so long. I've already spent too much on discs this past couple months. TL3 replaced the old FD when I couldn't find a backup. Now, I've got Dark Rebels in S&C. I'll eventually give it a try, but might check out a Crave or River first.
I’m so excited to get mine. I just ordered it. The FD will fill a spot in my bag that is empty right now. I like my forged instinct but something more straight with more glide will be awesome!!
I’d love to see how this compares to a TL. I have always loved the TL and it was always a mainstay in my bag til I couldn’t find them anymore. Recently picked up a star TL I found and it’s money, but if this is very similar and more regularly available…
TLs are still pretty easy to find. They should be pretty similar. Some people say the Fd has more glide but they look feel and fly the exact same as my TLs
I have only tested one C-lime FD (a green one) and that one is WAY more stable than the numbers suggest (and how yours fly). I throw decently far (between 400-450 on a good throw), but my C-line FD is a meat-hook deluxe (I love my S-line FD though which flips like a dream.) Has you or anyone else noticed this on some C-line FDs? (IcebergTV seems to have).
I found one on a course that’s pretty much new, and the flight numbers are definitely off, at least for this one. I would say it’s like 7/5.5/-1/3. Way more than 1 fade and will sometimes turn too much.
these are all over the second hand market where I am being sold as basically unused. Discmania was charging way too much for them and they were overhyped. I guess the business side worked well but I've not seen many being thrown
It's a 7 speed so when you throw a slower disc faster than the intended speed it will react less stable making a 0 turn 7 speed be able to flip a little.
Hunter, give a quick review at the beginning of the flight numbers man, not 5 minutes later. Lol. Also super rad to give us price, plastic options and definitely other discs you think it reallly compares to in our bags. Solid work otherwise!
Let’s not act like discmania didnt steal this from latitude 64… they release the River and then next year discmania drops the fd with almost the exact same flight numbers and look and actual flight
Hilarious, the whole comparison is based on "what I remember". And when was the last time you threw a new FD while they were still being produced by Innova?
Goodbye FD. Hello discraft passion. I waited a LONG time for the fd release but over the last year I have decided to stop supporting discmania. Their prices and availability feel more like a strategy than circumstance.
You're really going to have to stop calling the old molds "Real FDs" as if this FD isn't an FD... Like it's name isn't actually what it is... Doesn't FD just stand for Fairway Driver? Pretty sure that's a Fairway Driver, and it's the only disc currently being produced called an FD, so isn't this a real FD?
It would be interesting to see a comparison video between the new FD and the "new" Dark Rebel.
And the Hailey King Hawkeye
HuckSquad did that exact comparison in crazy detail
Yeah I 2nd the Hawkeye comparison. Idk wtf innova has going on but I'm unsure on which is the FD mold.

depends in which plastic. my glow is significantly more stable than my other (full color stamp, not sure on plastic)
