I played clarinet, bass, clarinet, and auxiliary percussion in high school in college. I am still friends with my band director, his daughter, other band directors and band members and band parents, more than 30 years after I graduated. Band people are the best.

I've often heard that babies kick strongly or increased shortly before death as unrecognised sign of distress. The mom thinks that baby Landon tore the placenta off but I suspect that the kicking might indicate that the abruption could have already started then.
Tragic case, so sad for the parents. Sleep in peace, little soul.

So sorry for your loss and so admire you pushing through the medical ptsd to be of service. Worked in heme/onc, when you said DIC my blood ran cold. Can see you facilitating training for L+D staff in perinatal loss. Thank you for sharing

THANKYOU for saying a foetus of 6 weeks is still a baby.
My husband and myself went through years of IVF and have lost 5 pregnancies, (each time putting 2 viable foetus back)…,from 7 weeks to 5 months and no one has counted our losses as “ baby loses “…..the worst statement from a nurse was “ well, at least it was only 9 weeks so you wouldn’t have know you were pregnant if you were “ a NORMAL women, so it will be easy to move on!!!…” If we had not been military and a police women I’m sure I would have slapped her (sorry ,I don’t condone violence but……).
We lost our last precious much wanted baby in 2005 yet it feels like just last year.
The deepest heartbreak for me was never being able to see or hold our children. Due to the length of pregnancy we have no proof as to our son or his previous siblings and others do not understand the extreme heartbreak and pain.
Keep your beautiful little family close and please give them a little hug from a lady of 61 in Scotland .
I’m sorry for my bad grammar but typing and tears are not easy.
    God Bless you all xx❤

I agree 100%. Lost my baby at 7 wks. I already had a name picked out, I knew my due date, etc... it's sickening when people, especially medical professionals, discount our babies.

Way back when, after my first child was born, my husband and I struggled with "secondary infertility " meaning it took longer than "normal" to get pregnant. A gf & I both struggled getting pregnant with our second child. Neither of us had ever heard of this phenomenon of "secondary" infertility.
Looking back, I quite probably had PCOS, but undiagnosed. But 30+ years ago PCOS was considered rare.
