Lauren Graham ('Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life'): Return 'even better than I imagined'

In a new interview with Gold Derby editor Chris Beachum, Lauren Graham ('Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life') chats about returning as Lorelai Gilmore: 'It was even better than I could have imagined.' When the cult classic created by Amy Sherman-Palladino began, Graham was playing a 32-year-old single mom who had her daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel) at the young age of 16. She worked at an inn in the small town of Stars Hollow in Connecticut and was estranged from her wealthy parents (Kelly Bishop, Edward Herrmann). The series had dozens of recurring characters from the town, Rory's school and later in college, boyfriends, co-workers (including Melissa McCarthy before her film fame), and more. Almost everyone returned for the sequel, which streamed this past November and is now eligible in the limited series categories for the 2017 Emmy Awards.

I cried with you and I laughed with you. I only started watching Gilmore Girls this year 2021, a couple of months ago. I seem to have come to a point in my life where my I'm having to make major changes and I related to many things on your show, especially the mother/daughter(Kelly & Lauren's characters) relationship, as well as some of Lauren and Alexi's characters). Also the boyfriend's were similar. This show by far has been a godsend for me by helping me to deal with my own pass. Thank you .. Come back on the screen please! 🤗😁💝🌹

Amy should have picked up where Season 7 left off , for me the revival wasn't good. Also I would have perferred Luke and Lorelia not getting married, been like Friends with Benfits. Lorelia was all about being Independent . Think the flirting between made the show alot better, too many times marrying people on shows isn't the way to go.
