Extracted with Hyperripper / Dragon Unpacker
Go to File top left, Hyperripper. Go to formats and check "OGG". Go to search tab and select "sounds.vfs0" from the gamefolder, search and unpack to a desired folder.
Filename of this track is: "sounds_vfs0-0000003172"
The official "You suck at stealth and were spotted. Get your medpack ready." signal.
Also the official "Bourbon's a fucking dumbass for alerting that one group of bandits in the abandoned tunnel mission before you even got a chance to stealth it", since they introduced this track to Metro 2033 Redux.

What's fun about the stealth and combat in this game is...
Like your not instantly done for if you're seen, barring 1 or 2 missions where it explicitly tells you not to raise the alarm.
If you shoot the guy who saw you and break the line of sight, you fade back into the shadows, but enemies spend the entire time on high alert.
Metal Gear, early assassins creed, Dxhr, stealth in most rpgs, they eventually pretend you never existed after a couple of minutes(granted it takes longer in metal gear but still).
What im getting at is you have to use the dark to your advantage and hit enemies when they can't see you, and you have to keep moving otherwise they will find you and you will be gunned down in a volley of gunfire.
It creates an intensity that gets your heart thumping and forces you to think on your feet, which is surprisingly rare these days!
To the developers of this game, thank you for making this masterpiece

DOOM aside, this is a very blood-pumping and badass soundtrack, especially when playing Ranger Hardcore on Survival.
When u start getting shot at from everywhere on ranger hardcore difficulty. So intense :D

I always thought the Metro games were "good enough to beat once and toss", then after exodus came out, I beat it, it's now one of my favorite games, and I just finished Metro 2033 and Last Light and am about to beat Exodus again. The Metro games are now my number two favorite series, and this is one of my favorite tracks in Last Light, which environmentally was my favorite metro. I recommend the games to everyone now.
The metro 2033 and last light have a good dark atmosphere, which is not enough in the exodus.
I think the Metro saga is the most badass franchise of games.
