Always love seeing this, it's so guerrilla! Ren just refusing to interrupt the music is so him. Spare a thought for poor Sam and his family though; lost his father the other day after a long battle with mental illness. His X / Twitter update was heartbreaking.
That was fun! Loved your street music clip too 😃. What cracks me up with this video is that on the Ren shop site, he has these little figurines, there's a Screech, a Jenny BUT also, an angry parking attendant!
For the last 8 or so years of my working career I was a park attendant. And believe me, I’ve seen almost all what can happen in a car park. I was strict, but reasonable, after all I’m a Libra, diplomatic in nature. In Ren’s case I would never have chased them away. Why? They weren’t bothering anybody, they did no mischief, they weren’t damaging the cars. In my days, there were some young people hanging out, just talking, sometimes smoking a joint and some of them did more dangerous stuff like climbing on the roof of a 6 story building and hang out there. One day, during my rounds I encountered a group of 8 or 10 youngsters, 15-18 years old boys and girls who were hanging around on the sixth floor. The first time they saw me they fled in all directions. The second time I ‘ambushed’ them (LOL), at first they were a little aggressive, I had a chat telling them that as long they didn’t bother people, damage cars, leave litter behind, they would not have any problem with me. I pointed out that they were ‘adults’ with responsibilities and safety is key, don’t throw anything down to the streets, because even a little pebble is a brick when it hits the street and a fall of the sixth floor you will not survive. But if a got one complaint I would love them to leave the premises. As I turned my back and walked away, one of the guys called me: “Hey sir, respect man”. One hour or so later one of the girls went to toilets on the first floor, passing my office she threw me a kiss. Months later, when the same people passed by the car park again, they always said hi or waved. What is the point of chasing them away because ten minutes later they will be back, so why bother? One respectful chat, from adult to adult, did the trick.
🙏 That's an awesome story. And I'm glad that they listened and didn't just look for trouble. Unfortunately some kids these days just wait for an opportunity to fight. But in this case, I'm glad it was resolved like that.
@@ronireacts_to_all I am convinced that even the most aggressive of them are willing to listen to reason. Not the “clear off, I don’t want you here” mentality, because that is what they here everywhere and all of the time. If you explain what you would appreciate of them, not order them around, they’ll respect that. For most of them it's a cry for attention or understanding. No one is born aggressive, they all start as cuddly babies. Right?
Ren was walking home from an afternoon of busking and came across young Sam busking on a different corner without a mic or instruments. Ren was impressed and offered to loan Sam his equipment for a while. When Sam told Ren he couldn't play guitar, Ren offered to sit in and Sam could keep the money. This performance/birth of a friendship was actually captured on video. I highly recommend Sam Tompkins' "Time Will Fly" showing Sam's history including a few shots from that video (not to mention a great song). Ren and Sam had a viral video about 5 years ago that you may recognize when you watch it but haven't made the connection yet because Ren kind of disappeared from the spotlight afterward. "Earned It/Man's World/Falling" is one of the great busking videos from the pair.
Wow. That shows me even more how kind Ren is. I just love this guy and what he does. I'm happy I discovered him. Thank you for the info. I didn't know the whole story of how they met. 🙏💜
Back when I was a commercial photographer we had photo shots all over the country, and yes we got chased out of our fare share of places. Kind of made at times an exciting part of the job.
I like this random location performances Ren does. They're fun. Kinda wish they didn't leave and just stood there. It's sometimes humorous to see how people react to defiance of their perceived control or power. Reminds me when my kids were feeding ducks at a small lake at an outdoor mall. Some old lady hollering 100 yards away "You're not suppose to feed the ducks!". We just ignored her until she got close enough it was hard to pretend not to hear her. We simply thanked her for letting us know....and kept feeding the ducks. "But...But....but you're not stopping!?!?". I swear she was going to mentally implode as she wandered off looking for someone who cared. What's Bill Burr's line about wearing suits...."I want to start taking over stuff". I may be in the minority but nothing sexier than a woman rocking a business suit. Strength and femininity...solid combination every time. "A parking garage is a metaphor for life: sometimes confusing, often frustrating, but ultimately, you find your way out." - Unknown
Fancy booting them out……. fisserable muckers! It was great, so much fun and boy oh boy is Ren a motormouth 😂 You’re your usual self again (well almost), moving is a traumatic experience! 🌹 p.s. Jacket is 😎
Busking is allowed in Brighton but not in parking lots it seems which have great acoustics BTW. Ren released a doll of the parking attendant on his website. The guy actually enjoys the fame he's received from the video :)
You look great today Roni! Man i miss my teens, jamming at the Lake or in the Woods, just fooling around :D *edit* now that i got my Pizza it struck me: the beginning of Money Game Pt. 3, he sings Blind Eyed! oh, i forgot 😚👋
He he. those pair of talented reprobates. During Jenny's tale they use stairwell acoustics for the reverb. they must got the idea from this video accidentally.... .
Authenticity is the secret sauce. Big love to all the RENegades... some of the most authentic and generous people I've ever met. And much love to Angry Car-Park Attendant... we love ya man, and we'll keep on lovin' you till you learn to love yourself : ))))))) Schkoooot!
Another Lovely React... i am so LATE to this. They're UK young men who said "we will walk, but not stop"... i SOMEHOW missed the string break when I first say this... it is sooo right there when it happens and hearing at the end. Hope all is well. Great to see ja smile always and ☮☮🤎🤎 to you and yours here and overseas.
Ren has a Car Park Attendant doll in his merch

P.S. Your jacket looks positively presidential 😜
Maybe a reaction to Sam's video for Hero would be fitting. Written for his father I believe.
Oh man... I didn't know. I need to react to Sam asap.
🔥 Jacket looks smashing
Smashing! Baby! (imagine I said it in an Austin Powers voice)
Great choice and brilliant reaction to this classic performance.
🙏🔥🤘🎸
You got to see crutch. It was 7 years ago. After several ER visits and a breakdown. He wrote and preformed this.
Nothing fun about that track but God, it’s soul wrenching.
Oh yeah - it is on my list for sure!

Absolutely Incredible performance from the Boys My thoughts are with Sam !! and his family after the loss of his Dad🙏
My thoughts and love as well! 🙏💜🫂

REN’s made this bloke the most famous car park attendant in the world, which probably wasn’t this guy’s intention😂😂😂
😂

Thank you for that info.
I think those ages are off. Ren is 33. Not certain but I don’t think Sam is 30.
@@Joseph_Riccio_AZ You are correct. I must have heard the story wrong. Sam is 26, so there's a bigger age gap. I'll edit the post.

Thanks Roni, Love this video..... You are a star in the making!

When life hands you lemons (or angry carpark attendants) don't stop squeezing. You never know what kind of juice you might get.
TRUE!
They are having so much fun. Kicked out and broke a string! And just rolled with it. Respect!
Right?!? Love that they kept on going!

Nice jacket, Roni. (No holes this time, LOL). Very stylish as always.
Bye bye.

Reminds me a bit in a very crude way of Prince "When Doves Cry". Have you reacted to Prince yet?
Oh interesting. I love that song. I haven't reacted to Prince yet (though I do know some of his known songs). Any suggestions?
