My guess is many people just wanted to book fast to sell them on black Market. And there are people who will buy those. And in the end tickets are going to people who can actually afford the concert.
It’s not a guess it’s true . They are just resellers using unethical tools to scalp the tickets .
the event organizers and ticket booking platforms are the one who purchase the tickets and show that they sold at original price and pay taxes on the original amounts and later resell them for exorbitant amounts .. i have worked with a very popular platform and know the whole truth .

All these years we assumed selling tickets in black was a crime. Now we know only if young men sell it outside the theaters , it is illegal. Some website selling it in broad daylight is legal.

Not ID card. Ticket selling websites can take these measures:
1) One phone number/email can be used only for one account.
2) Single session policy: A user cannot open more than one session of the app at any time.
3) Set account age as a criteria for big ticket concerts. This will prevent people creating accounts just before a show.
4) One person can book only one ticket for a big ticket concert.
5) In case you have friends joining you in step 4, you can select them by their account after everyone booked. contiguous seat allocation should be done by the backend on first come first serve basis and viewing convenience.
6) Cancellation policy should be flexible.
Bookmyshow can implement these very easily, but they WON'T. They want blackers to buy the tickets.

As population grows and standard of living improves, there is greater demand for these 'services'. So classic economics comes into play. But it could also be foul play by those concerned, who believe given the frenzy, they can receive such prices for the tickets.
this is what happens when you allow 4 tickets per individual. legit fans like us waited 3hrs in queue and still failed to get tickets while frauds are reselling them.
I would not waste my money on that or any of these concerts.
Because I'm paying their bills and they are not paying mine.
Also, I do not look up to these people because they make mistakes like us and do crazy stuff like us.

My problem with his comment was about him saying "getting paid to see them". Who is he - Mozart or Beethoven or is he any head of state? I mean why does he think he is important enough to be paid to attend a musical performance - that too of a huge artist like Coldplay?.

Such a waste of Money. The Indian youth should support Indian music, dance and native artforms. If youth is attracted to such shows indicates failure in their bringup and the foreign biased schooling.
On one hand there are a large number of budding Indian artists who need support and on the other hand youths are going for such shows. What a pity contradiction. I think the ticket buyers are not made aware of the rich Indian artforms in their schooldays. Hope the situation changes in the near future.
