There is an option to disable the light while focusing in the camera app. The lights comes up so that the camera can focus even in dark places. You can dissable it in the settings.
Watching this in 2023. Man this phone was ahead of its time. Really a remarkable piece of tech. I wish Windows phone wasn’t killed off my microsoft. That was a really stupid move.

I dont think so either. The App market for windows 8 is still small and will not be getting support from Google either. Most people are with Android or Apple they would have to have a pretty good reason to move to WP8.

Micromax Canvas 2 is a good phone but cannot compete with the phones like Samsung Galaxy S2 (for just an example) as it can't play 1080p videos & I have not tried 720p whereas S2 can play 1080p videos smoothly. It can play games like Temple Run, Subway Surfer & even GTA without any lag. It have 8 MP Camera but the actual quality is not even near to that! These are the points that I want Ranjeet Sir to consider in their review :)
